There were groups of people whose profession was connected exclusively with information activities... In ancient times, these were, for example, priests, chroniclers, then scientists, etc.

With the development of society, the circle of people whose professional activities were associated with the processing and accumulation of information constantly expanded. The volume of human knowledge and experience was constantly growing, and with it the number of books, manuscripts and other written documents. There was a need to create special repositories of these documents - libraries, archives... The information contained in books and other documents had to not only be stored, but organized, systematized. This is how library classifiers, subject and alphabetical catalogs and other means of organizing books and documents, professions appeared librarian, archivist.

As a result of scientific and technological progress, mankind has created more and more new means and methods of collecting (recording sound information using a microphone, camera, movie camera), storage (paper, photographic film, gramophone records, magnetic tape), transferring information (telephone, telegraph, radio, television, satellites). In the second half of the 20th century, the release of scientific and technical printed materials became like a growing avalanche. Neither an individual, nor special organizations created to process the incoming information, could not only master the entire information flow, but also quickly find in it what was required for certain works. There was a paradoxical situation when, in order to obtain the necessary information, it was easier and cheaper to conduct the research again than to find it in the scientific literature. The paper-based information system has outgrown its capabilities. Ripe information crisis, i.e., the situation when the information flow has increased so much that it became unavailable for processing in an acceptable time.

We can say that we who live at the turn of the centuries and millennia are lucky to witness tremendous changes on our home planet. And the result of these changes was accelerating the emergence of knowledge... The flow of information literally falls on us. If the first doubling of the total amount of knowledge on Earth occurred during the period from the turn of our era to 1750, then the second doubling happened already in 150 years, by the beginning of the twentieth century, and the third - in 50 years - by 1950.

Subsequently, the volume of knowledge doubled at an even more rapid pace: until 1970 - for 10 years, after 1970 - every 5 years, and since 1991 - annually! In fact, we live in a society where the power of any country is determined by its information potential and the ability to quickly provide necessary and reliable information to everyone who is interested in it.

The way out of this situation was the invention of electronic computers (computers) and personal computers, the creation of a telecommunication infrastructure (databases and networks of various types).

But modern technical means of working with information include not only computers, but also other devices that ensure its transmission, processing and storage:

Computers and information systems have become part of our life and made it much easier. Most people, especially young people, cannot imagine their life without this miracle machine. More recently, having a computer in the family was considered a luxury. Nowadays, everything has changed so much that it is not surprising that there are several computing devices in every cell of society.

What can be in common between the profession of a teacher and an accountant, a lawyer and a designer, a police officer and a cashier, a doctor and a sound engineer? Initially, it seems that these professions have nothing in common, since we are talking about completely different professions. If we remember that we live in the age of global informatization, then all these professions are united by the fact that they use a computer.

What makes the same device so important to do so many different jobs? We have asked this question and will try to answer it within the framework of our project.

Object of study:professions that use a computer in their activities.

Subject of study: for what and how exactly adults use the computer in their profession.

Goal: To develop and create a video clip "Computer and Profession". Find out exactly how the computer helps representatives of various professions.

1. Analysis of a sociological survey.

Each student in the future will have to decide on the choice of a profession. In the rapidly developing world of information technology, the percentage of computer penetration into the profession is only increasing every year.

A questionnaire was conducted among parents of primary and middle school students: "Do you use a computer in your work?" Out of 72 parents surveyed, 53 use computer technology in their work.

Parents use a computer in such professions as: teacher, salesman, technologist, storekeeper, receptionist, operator, designer, boss, economist and many others.

To the question: "Can you imagine your work without computer equipment?", The parents answered:

No, my whole job is to fill in the data using a computer.

No, it facilitates the search for information thousands of times, makes it possible to communicate with people living far away.

No, all information about employees is entered into the system.

No, a computer is needed when working with documents, when holding events.

We decided to find out in the course of work on the project in which field of professional activity a computer is needed and how exactly adults use it in their work.

2. Types of professions and computer.

There are a large number of fields of activity, ranging from medicine to art.We have identified the following main areas of activity in society and created a scheme (Appendix 1):

  • social sphere - the work of teachers, doctors, librarians, organizers of circles, sports sections;
  • science and higher education - employees of research institutes and higher educational institutions;
  • culture and art - writers, painters, actors, directors, composers;
  • law enforcement and army;
  • banks;
  • production activity - work at different levels in the field of production of consumer products, tools, means of transportation, that is, activities in agriculture, industry, construction, utilities, trade;
  • public authorities at all levels.

Through interviews, surveys and information from various sources, we found out exactly how the computer is used in these areas.

Computers in education.

The use of computer technologies in the educational process makes it possible to use psychological and pedagogical developments in pedagogical practice, which make it possible to intensify the educational process, to implement the ideas of developing education. The possibilities of computer technologies as a tool of human activity and a fundamentally new means of teaching have led to the emergence of new methods and organizational forms of training and their faster implementation in the educational process.

Computers in medicine.

Thanks to computers, doctors can diagnose diseases with amazing efficiency. The tomograph effectively conducts a preventive examination, gives an accurate image of the internal organs of a person. In the intensive care unit, the patient is "connected" to a computer that monitors the heart rate: if it suddenly decreases to a dangerous level, the computer will immediately inform the doctor or nurse about it. Medical data banks allow doctors to keep abreast of the latest scientific and practical advances. Computer networks are used to send messages about donor organs. Computers are used to train healthcare workers in practical skills. This time, the computer acts as a patient who needs immediate help. Computers store patient histories in their memory.

Computers in the field of culture and art.

In the hands of the artist, the computer becomes a drawing tool. Illustrators, designers, cartoonists, filmmakers believe that computing provides them with new opportunities in their creative endeavors. With tools such as a plotter, graphics tablet, and light pen, artists create multi-color drawings, graphs, maps, and diagrams.

Recently, more and more professional writers are using word processors to improve the quality and speed up their work. Journalists, technical writers, screenwriters, textbook authors, and many others use computers to work with texts. A word processor facilitates editing and proofreading of texts. It frees you from the need to retype texts - saving time. The use of special programs helps to identify and correct spelling and syntax errors.

Computers in law enforcement.

The ability of computers to store large amounts of information is used by law enforcement agencies to create a file of criminal activity. Electronic databanks with relevant information are readily available to state and regional investigative agencies throughout the country. For example, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has a nationwide data bank known as the National Forensic Information Center. With the help of a computer, through small crimes it is possible to “reach” large ones. In forensic laboratories, computers help to analyze the substances found at the crime scene. For a visual presentation and presentation of the essence of our project, we decided to prepare a video clip "Computer and professions". We have compiled interview questions. We asked questions to representatives of various professions, both in our school and in the workplaces of parents and specialists in various fields of activity in our city. All fragments of the interview were recorded on a digital camera.

Stage III. Video clip creation.

  1. Select the item "Create a project". After changing the operating mode of the program, go to the "File" menu again. We select the item "Import to collections" and wait for the launch of the explorer. Select the video files to be included in the project. Add each file to the working project one by one.
  2. Now press the button "Timeline display". This allowed us to quickly synchronize the layout of the images. We moved each file in turn to the “Video” category located at the bottom of the program window.
  3. Click the link "View video transitions". Select the transition you like - view it by double-clicking on it - copy and paste through 1-2 video fragments.
  4. Adding titles. Click the next menu item "Creating titles and titles". The title menu will open. Click on the first item of this menu and enter the name in the first field. Then we will change the animation of the title by clicking on the corresponding link. Choose a suitable animation from a fairly large list, click the "Change font and text color" link and adjust the design.
  5. In the same way, choosing the last item of the menu "Create titles and credits", create credits at the end of the movie.
  6. In the "File" menu and selected the "Save movie file" option. We waited for the launch of the new menu, chose the file format and indicated the location of its storage. We checked the received movie by launching it with an available player.

Stage IV. Presentation of the video.

Conclusion.

As a result of working on the project, we found out that computers have become a part of modern life and professions of adults. Sooner or later, all students will have to decide on the choice of a profession and special attention should be paid to the study of information technology at school, since practically no profession is conceivable without computer technology and computer technology.

We have studied the spheres of professional activity and identified a list of professions for interviewing. A representative of each of our chosen professions confirmed the importance of the computer in their professional activities. After all, a computer is an assistant in counting, processing large amounts of information, storing databases, monitoring, searching for the necessary information and performing a large number of other functions.

To compile and present the data obtained during the work on the project, we chose the programWindows Movie Maker. The program interface is intuitive to the user. Therefore, based on our project, students can create their own video clips on other topics.

INTRODUCTION

Currently, a large place in our life is assigned to various devices designed to create comfort in everyday life, facilitate work, etc. One of these devices is a computer.

The word "computer" means "calculator", i.e. device for computing. This is due to the fact that the first computers were created as devices for computing, roughly speaking, as improved, automatic adding machines. The fundamental difference between computers and adding machines and other calculating devices was that the adding machines could perform only individual computational operations (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication), and computers allow complex sequences of computational operations to be carried out without human intervention according to a predetermined instruction - a program. In addition, computers contain memory to store data, intermediate and final results of calculations.

Although computers were created for numerical calculations, it soon turned out that they could process other types of information as well. To process various information on a computer, you must have the means to convert the desired type of information into numerical form and vice versa. Now, with the help of computers, not only numerical calculations are carried out, but also books are prepared for printing, drawings, films, music are created, factories and spaceships are controlled, etc. Computers have become universal means of information processing.

HISTORY OF COMPUTER DEVELOPMENT

In the first half of the 19th century, the English mathematician Babidge tried to build a universal computing device, i.e. computer. It was he who first thought of the fact that a computer should contain memory and be controlled by a program.

In the 40s of the XX century. several groups of researchers at once repeated Babidge's attempt based on the technique of that time.

The first of these was the German engineer Konrad Zuse, who in 1941 built a small computer based on several electro-mechanical relays. But due to the war, Zuse's works were not published.

And in the USA in 1943, at one of the enterprises of the IBM firm, the American G. Eiken created a more powerful computer called "Mark-1". It made it possible to perform calculations hundreds of times faster than manually.

Since the relays work very slowly, starting in 1943 a team of specialists in the USA began to design a computer called "ENIAC" based on vacuum tubes. The computer they created ran a thousand times faster than the Mark-1. However, most of the time it was idle, because to enter the program, it took several hours or days to connect the wires, and the calculations took place within a few minutes or seconds.

A huge step forward was the creation of microprocessors that do not exceed a few square centimeters in size (1970). It is thanks to them that we see the computer as it is, i.e. small processing unit and monitor.

SCOPES OF APPLICATION OF COMPUTERS.

At present, the worldwide computer network InterNet has received wide publicity.

InterNet is a worldwide collection of computer networks that connects millions of computers. Its embryo was the distributed network ARPAnet, which was created by order of the US Department of Defense to communicate with each other computers of this Department.

The developed principles for organizing this network were so successful that many other organizations (especially universities and government agencies) began to create their own networks on the same principles.

These networks began to unite with each other, forming a single network. This unified network became known as InterNet.

Until the mid-90s, InterNet. was used mainly for sending emails and various information from one user to another, etc.

It was not easy to use these opportunities, therefore, until 1993-94, InterNet was used only in the scientific (primarily university) environment.

Around 1993-94, the situation at InterNet changed radically. The reason for this was the emergence of a new service on the Internet - the World Wide Web, literally translated - the World Wide Web (abbreviated as WWW or Web). The ease of use of this service has led to the fact that the most massive user - housewives and businessmen, teachers and students, etc.

The next area of \u200b\u200bapplication of computers was the industrial industry. The creation of highly reliable control systems made it possible to automate the processes of manufacturing various goods, equipment, assembly lines in the automotive industry everywhere. Automation processes have reduced human participation in the production process to a minimum.

One of the most expensive and time-consuming uses of computers is in the military. From the very beginning of the creation of computer systems, this area was

in a slightly different way. In it, the computer has always acted as a weapon, or at least as a weapon control tool. As a result, control and guidance systems for missile complexes, ground and underwater weapons appeared. Systems for the detection, tracking and destruction of a potential enemy have appeared.

In everyday life, on the basis of computer technology, so-called things with limited intelligence have appeared. Almost all household appliances of the latest generation have this kind of intelligence: washing machines, televisions, VCRs, audio equipment, microwave ovens, etc.

The computers themselves have undergone significant changes. Various devices have been added that allow you to hear music, watch videos, etc. One of the latest advances in consumer personal computers has been the creation of an audio text editor. If earlier the text was entered mainly from the keyboard, then after the mass release of this editor, the text can be entered by voice.

Thanks to the speed of computers, electronic translators have appeared, which, moreover, have a memory for tens of thousands of words and expressions. Such a translator can translate texts and expressions within a few seconds, facilitating communication between people speaking different languages.

In the field of law enforcement, the computer has made it much easier to identify and find criminals. If earlier identification of a criminal by fingerprints took from several hours to several weeks, now, thanks to computerization and the creation of a database, this operation takes only a few seconds or minutes.

In the film industry, the computer has made it possible to create effects that have never been thought of before. The famous film "Jurassic Park" is 80% CGI, the same can be said about many films and cartoons.

CONCLUSION

In this essay, not all areas of computer use are listed. In the future, more and more space will most likely be assigned to the computer in our life. I would like to note that learning to work with a computer is a very big task, especially in our time in our country. Much attention is paid to this in Kazakhstan. Recently, the city has proposed a program to computerize secondary schools and higher education institutions, but although it has found a strong response among the population, with the pace of introduction of the program and such funding, its implementation threatens to be delayed for a long time.

This work reflected the most popular areas of computer use. I tried to describe the InterNet network in more detail, since using it you can get different information, communicate with different users. Those. this network is a means of communication and education not only for students but also for ordinary people, employees, etc. This network is the most realistic example of the introduction of computers into everyday life. other areas are either highly technological, requiring special knowledge, or simply inaccessible.
