Their advantages:

Among the disadvantages of too high or wide canvases, we note that they:

- They are heavy, especially if the door is made of 100% solid wood. In this case, you need to further strengthen the opening or, at least, make sure of its strength - call a master measurer or other competent specialist.
Non-standard interior doors have one significant pro: they look great in the interior of the house and especially in combination with high ceilings. Agree that with its height of three to four meters, ordinary two-meter doors will simply be lost. And 230 cm models will look good.
Non-standard doors are not only great-sized doors, but also unusual in design and method of opening the model. Fully glass doors combine the space of the dining room and kitchen or bedroom and dressing room. Bright ones transform monochrome interior. Dimensions
Standard height interior door - 2000 mm, or 200 cm. Anything greater or less than this value is called non-standard door leaves: 180, 190, 210, 220 and 230 cm.
Standard width interior fabric: 60, 70, 80 and 90 cm. Some manufacturers call the canvas 40 cm wide or 190 cm high as standard, but not all. The indicated numbers are Russian standards, which may differ from European ones.
The frame and platbands for non-standard height or width of the door are made to order along with the door. The kit may include extensions - wooden panels that cover the wall with inside and from the side of the box. If the wall thickness is more than 10 cm, then they will be needed. Their thickness depends on the size of the wall, and the minimum width of the additional panel is 3 cm.
The standard height of the opening for an entrance door is determined by 2070-2370 mm or 2000-2300 mm by the height of the door leaf itself. Width – 900 mm, but no less.
The width of an entrance door is considered to be 1000 mm (100 cm) if it is single-leaf. One and a half entrance doors have a width of 1300, 1500 and 1540 mm, double doors - 1900 and 1940 mm.

Non-standard doors are classified into entrance and interior doors. Input models in a private house usually wider and higher than their apartment counterparts. Materials
Interior doors are classified according to the main material and can be made of wood, plastic, or glass.
Wooden doors are also different: it can be 100% solid wood or wooden frame inside the canvas. Doors can be lined with natural material - veneer or synthetic - eco-veneer, PVC, this also includes painted models (with enamel coating).
Doors made of solid wood are heavy, and a non-standard door with a height of 230 cm will weigh more than a two-meter door. Before purchasing and installing them, you need to evaluate the quality of the openings and answer the question of whether it will withstand a massive structure. Invite a qualified technician to assess. If the door weighs more than 50-70 kg, then you will need to purchase reinforced hinges.
Lightweight doors made of solid pine or hollow models are also made to order according to individual measurements and have a completely standard weight - up to 40 kg. All glass is made from tempered glass– material resistant to mechanical damage and shock. Even if such a canvas breaks, its fragments are unlikely to injure anyone; they will turn out to be too small and blunt or, on the contrary, large and relatively safe. The size of the openings differs from generally accepted standards: doors will have to be made to order. Entirely wooden or 100% solid wood panels are of excellent quality, functionality, practicality, last about 50 years, but are expensive. An alternative is veneered, with solid pine inside and natural veneer on the outside. Such a canvas does not differ in appearance from solid wood, but differs significantly in weight and cost. The advantage of veneer is its environmental friendliness and aesthetic appearance. The downside is the possibly high price for a set of doors.
If the budget for purchasing non-standard doors is limited, pay attention to artificial coating: eco-veneer, PVC, lamination or enamel. Eco-veneer is characterized by high strength and external resemblance to natural wood. PVC is a film that is resistant to damage and changes in temperature and humidity. PVC models are usually the cheapest on the market. Laminated fabrics have artificial outer covering high strength and benefit from the fact that they differ in range and texture. The enamel coating is fire-resistant and at the same time aesthetic. It can be bright and can be painted, changed or adjusted the color of the canvas.
When choosing an interior door, it is important to pay attention to its filling. Veneered models usually contain solid or spliced solid pine inside. The opening is narrow

I cut horizontal (transverse) ones, each 850 mm long. If the door is 600→650 mm wide; 700→750 mm; and 900→950 mm.

For vertical risers, I cut 18 mm less than the height of the risers themselves (1745 mm minus 18 mm - this will be 1727 mm). 
I'm fastening door frame using 4x50 mm screws.
Mortise of lock and hinges.
To mortise the lock, I use a drill with a drill bit and a router with such a cutter.
By the way, I recommend this simple and at the same time very easy-to-use cutter to everyone! 
To insert hinges, like all craftsmen, I use a regular cylindrical cutter.
Installation of a new, converted door block into an old frame (lutka).
To install, you must do the following.
✓Remove old doors.
✓Cut off old ones with a grinder door hinges, hooks, hooks and everything that may subsequently interfere with installation. 
If you feel sorry for the old awnings, you can try to unscrew the screws and remove them.
I'll be honest, it's not always easy to do this.
✓Cut out the protruding part of the door threshold.

✓We install the new box level and fasten it using wedges and screws (4x60 mm) to the old box.

Installation of additional (expansion) strips.
Since in my version the depth of the old box is 150 mm plus uneven wall, I do not cover the new standard one (100 mm) and therefore the remaining 50-65 mm, depending on the curvature of the wall, I need to cover with the help of an additional strip.
In order to install extras, I do the following operations.
✓I measure the missing millimeters of width around the perimeter. 
✓First I cut to length with a miter saw. 
Horizontal strips - 850 mm.
Vertical - 1770 mm.
✓I cut the required width along the line with a jigsaw. 
✓I install the top and bottom first, and then the sides.
To ensure a tight connection to the box (loot), I prop it up with wedges.
✓I secure everything around the perimeter with polyurethane foam.
Platband installation.
Everything is simple here.
✓I cut at an angle of 45° using miter saw. You can use a wood saw and a miter box.
✓I nail the trim with decorative nails with small heads to the box.
