What does a valve for ventilating plastic windows look like? Supply ventilation valve (ventilator) for plastic windows. Window ventilation valves

Helpful information

Installing plastic windows can lead to disruption of the microclimate in your home or office: increased humidity, lack of oxygen and stale air. Such problems can be easily eliminated with the help of supply valves on window openings.

The TBM-Market company has big choice window ventilators from leading Russian and global manufacturers. They normalize natural ventilation and stabilize air exchange in residential or non-residential premises.

Advantages of supply valves

The valve consists of an internal controlled grille with adjustment and an external visor. The last element blocks precipitation from entering the house and is equipped with a protective mesh against small insects. Internal controlled part allows you to set the amount and direction of movement fresh air.

The features of window ventilators include the following:

  • the light zone of the glass unit remains free;
  • absence of drafts, as from open window;
  • the influx of street air flows organically, in in full;
  • there will be no heat loss;
  • maintaining sound insulation;
  • you can set operating parameters, especially if it automatic systems;
  • easy installation and use.

The ventilation valve looks like a narrow box that is attached to the crossbar of the window opening. Internal details, called feathers, are responsible for the flow of air from outside. In good weather, the device allows air flow into the apartment, and in strong winds, the feathers block the cold from entering the room. Due to the fact that the ventilation is automatically regulated, there is no need to open the windows for ventilation in the morning and evening.

Classification

When choosing a supply valve, you can rely on the following criteria:

  1. Release material:

  • metal;
  • plastic.
  • By type of control:
    • mechanical adjustment, where the desired level of ventilation is manually set;
    • automatic option, when the element itself determines the period of opening/closing of the supply channel depending on humidity, pressure surges in the room, the number of people in the house, etc.
  • By type of air flow into the room:
    • Seam mechanism, when air flows pass through small holes in the shutter. There is no need to dismantle the window, but the valve's capacity is low, and sound insulation qualities may suffer.
    • Slit systems, where air enters the room through an opening up to 16 mm high. The outside of the system is covered with a protective block against small insects and moisture. Interior represented by a regulating flap. Installation is carried out on the upper vertical or horizontal crossbar.
    • Overlay elements. Installation is not performed on an existing double-glazed window.
    • Wall-mounted mechanism, where air exchange passes through a hole in the wall and plastic pipe. It's expensive, but also efficient device goes on sale already with forced heating or filters for air purification.
  • By installation method:
    • With built-in valves that come with PVC windows.
    • With milling, when the element can be purchased after installing the double-glazed window.
    • No installation.
  • Depending on the manufacturer:
    • Russia;
    • France;
    • Germany.

    TBK-Market consultants will help you choose window ventilation to create an ideal microclimate in your home, office or industrial premises.

    Recently, they are increasingly being used plastic windows in various fields of construction of buildings and structures. Due to the majority of their advantages, these designs can be used both in housing construction, and in industrial. They protect well from heat and cold, prevent the penetration of noise and various odors, as well as harmful insects. But there is also a huge drawback, which is the obstruction of air from entering the room.

    It can be noted here that this is not entirely a disadvantage of plastic. It can be noted that these particular structures are not provided for houses that were built in past centuries.

    Ventilation and plastic: compatible or not?

    Why in modern world Haven’t figured out a way to effectively ventilate windows yet? Here we need to understand the question more. Here everything was based on the presence of a hood in the kitchen and bathroom, as well as ventilation through the door and window slits. This technique was invented a long time ago and has already met the expectations of the inventors.

    And now you can look at this invention from the perspective of arranging new plastic windows. When the structure goes through the installation process, all cracks and gaps are sealed, thereby creating humidity in the room. This violates natural air exchange due to lack of air flow into the room. Indoors at home or it becomes stuffy, humid and discomfort begins. Here a process can begin, which will consist of the following: all the air will not leave the room, but will remain there constantly, and also all the smells from the neighboring apartments will be felt completely by you.

    Here we can highlight other problems that arise during operation. Due to the constant closing of windows, condensation may form inside the structure, which will prevent the normal use of materials. It is best to keep the windows on the micro-ventilation function to prevent the glass from fogging up.

    Plastic window ventilation mode

    Of course, you can get rid of such problems with simple ventilation using several built-in modes. Also, when purchasing, you should consider the number of cameras. In the presence of cold temperature regime It’s better to buy multi-chamber windows, which will retain heat much better. Of course, you will have to overpay for quality, but the result will not keep you waiting.

    Combining ventilation and windows

    Is it possible to combine ventilation and windows? The answer is simple - you can. There are quite a few options for the device. There are quite a few combinations, some of which are:

    • with a window;
    • with self-ventilation;
    • with comb;
    • with ventilation valve;

    Drilling a hole to install the ventilation valve

    Ventilation valve on the room side

    And from the street side

    Windows with a window

    A fairly common method of ventilation, which is used quite for a long time. It provides for the supply of air under the ceiling in the room, which is then mixed with room air, thereby forming a cool and clean product. This prevents the appearance of drafts or condensation in the window.

    The disadvantages of this design are the rather high cost and complexity of the design, which increases the weight of the materials. It is worth noting here that when the design becomes more complex, a large amount of light flux is lost, which makes the room quite dark. This isn't always a good thing.

    Plastic windows with self-ventilation

    Self-ventilated windows are the best option for installation in all buildings. They can find application in both civil and industrial construction. This option consists in the fact that the designs use profiles with holes at the top and bottom of the frame. The holes are located in the upper inner and lower external parts. Air masses passing through the lower part are heated, and already heated air enters the room.

    The principle works very well, but has some limitations. Such structures cannot be installed on upper floors due to insufficient air supply. Due to this deficiency in many systems, ventilation valves for windows have recently become widespread.

    Windows with combs

    These windows are the most widespread today. With this device, the windows have a built-in regulator that allows you to either open the window completely or open it in several modes.

    This mechanism is very inexpensive, but gives quite good results. The comb makes it possible to regulate all incoming masses and leave the window in an intermediate position mode.

    Ventilation valve in windows

    For normal operation such a device must combine several functions to full-fledged work. Subject to compliance with such laws, the entire room will be constantly ventilated, which will ensure normal temperature conditions. It should be noted here that such a valve has several varieties, which are called classes. The classes are very different from each other and have different ways installation

    To put the valve in window frame you can either replace the entire glass unit, or replace the part that is responsible for ventilation. There are also some disadvantages, which include increased cost and weight of the structure. Such operations are carried out in less than an hour, but guarantee a fairly good result.

    Next, you need to decide on the control mode. Here, as in any design, both automatic and manual modes. These options have their differences, which are as follows. Using a manual one, you can regulate the ventilation, thereby placing it where it is needed. Partial ventilation is applicable here, which allows these processes to be carried out only where it is required. As for automatic control, everything is very simple. The mechanism built into the windows itself regulates the required temperature and, if necessary, adds air masses desired temperature. However, there is a third option, which combines all the advantages and eliminates many of the disadvantages of the two previous modes. This is a mixed mode. It allows you to customize any mode whenever it is convenient.

    Operation in winter

    This may cause problems of its own, which include the appearance of condensation. But such a disadvantage is impossible to predict. It will be different in every case. This consequence will depend on the temperature of the outside air, the material of the walls, and the intimacy of the windows themselves.

    Climate valve

    When operating in winter, it is worth noting that under any circumstances the premises should be ventilated at least 2 times a week. This will ensure fairly durable use of the structures and protect them from condensation.

    Installation

    When considering this issue, you need to remember that it is better to hire good specialists, which will qualitatively install this structure.

    At incorrect installation Subsequently, all sorts of difficulties arise, which sometimes lead to rotting when there is a large amount of moisture. This can lead to rather dire results and money will be thrown away.

    Window ventilator installation

    Very important . How to arrange it correctly - read in a separate article.

    Metal-plastic structures provide high tightness to housing; they do not allow extraneous sounds and cold in winter. With all its advantages, it is worth noting the main disadvantage - a significant reduction in the flow of fresh air. Having installed the supply ventilation valve for plastic windows, this problem can be solved.

    We are talking about a product with small holes located in the upper part of the sash. With their help, air exchange in the room is normalized. Small ventilated structures prevent street noise from entering, providing inner space long-awaited silence, peace and tranquility. The supply ventilation valve is suitable not only for plastic, but also wooden and aluminum windows.

    In most openings, the closing density is easy to adjust. For warmer seasons, it is better to position the sashes in such a way that there is a small free space between the frame and the glass unit, and oxygen can freely penetrate into the room.

    With certain practical skills and following the instructions, every owner can organize an effective one in a house or apartment. But the best part is that you can install window supply valves yourself without the help of specialists.

    Efficiency of the ventilation (supply) valve

    Many people have a natural question: how effective are these small structures for air exchange? Before purchasing supply valves, experts advise checking their effectiveness by carefully studying specifications, after consulting with the seller, it would be a good idea to read the comments of those who have already bought them.

    It’s quite easy to check the effectiveness, and it’s not at all necessary to purchase ventilation solutions. All that is required is to remove the seal fixed to the window sash. It should not be removed or cut off completely; it is enough for it to just hang in a free position for some time (optimally 2-3 days). After they expire, pay attention to a number of criteria and parameters:

    • are there any drafts in the room;
    • whether the overall noise level in the room has increased;
    • the appearance of condensation “fogging” on the glass;
    • change in temperature in the room.

    Having completed the experiment, the window seal returns to its original place.

    Installing a supply valve on a plastic window will certainly lead to a decrease in the temperature in the room. This is due to the fact that cold air enters the room from the street. If we are talking about an efficiently functioning heating system, you can notice a difference of 3-4 degrees.

    If there is no effect, it is advisable to abandon this product in favor of a supply valve installed in the wall.

    Supply ventilation valve: operating principle

    For literate and quality equipment supply valves to metal-plastic or wooden windows, you should carefully study the mechanism of their operation. This is one of the most critical stages, since subsequently it will be necessary to make a hole in the frame about 30 cm long and at least 1 cm wide. At the final stage, it will be covered by the housing of the ventilation device.

    It will not be possible to dismantle the supply structure without opening a gap in the upper part of the profile. The decision to install is made reasoned and balanced.

    Supply valves for plastic windows are an important component of the passive system. Through a small hole, cold air is taken in from the street and directed into the home. Warm oxygen is removed through ventilation ducts. Physical laws set these masses in motion, which ensures the functioning of products at air temperatures of +5 degrees.

    In the hot summer, passive air exchange works only in the presence of forced exhaust.

    The valve for a plastic window works effectively provided that several conditions are met:

    • outside the window the air has cooled to a temperature of less than +5 degrees;
    • availability of working ventilation system in a house or apartment;
    • between neighboring rooms there is full air exchange;
    • hermetically sealed Entrance door(to neutralize the effect of “suction” of oxygen).

    Many owners are concerned about the question: does the ventilation valve for plastic windows freeze? Such an undesirable effect is possible, but only if the installation was carried out by amateurs. Even in severe frosts, it will not be possible to close the hole completely.

    Do not be alarmed by the increase in noise level in the living space after the installation of the ventilation hole on the window is completed. Fresh oxygen enters through a small hole, so the reduction in sound insulation will be insignificant.

    Supply ventilation valve: do-it-yourself installation on a plastic window

    Installing the ventilation structure is easy. For an experienced master 30-40 minutes is enough for this.

    Installation without milling

    You must first prepare several tools:

    • air exchange product;
    • well sharpened knife;
    • screwdriver;
    • half meter ruler.

    To install the supply valve, it is necessary to dismantle part of the window seal

    Supply valve Install on plastic windows with your own hands only after preliminary marking of the flap. That's what a ruler is for. The sequence of work is determined design features valve In most cases, it is enough to replace the standard seal with a complete one.

    As for other models, PVC windows require no more than 1 hole in the profile structure. The most preferable option is the first one, since making a smooth and neat gap with your own hands is very problematic.

    Manufacturing companies in 99% complete their products with detailed step by step instructions, with which you can quickly equip window hole appropriate decision.

    Step-by-step instructions for installing a supply valve with your own hands are presented in the video:

    Installation with milling

    Milling means cutting a small hole in the block of the window opening.

    To work you will need several materials and tools:

    • sharp construction knife;
    • powerful jigsaw;
    • a drill and a set of drills (in most cases, 5 and 10 mm are sufficient);
    • file;
    • a template for a future valve of a suitable size;
    • sealant.

    So that fresh ventilation in plastic windows provides optimal level air exchange, it is important to strictly follow the following sequence of actions.

    Supply ventilation valve: owner reviews

    The structures installed using the methods described above cope perfectly with the issue of effective air exchange in the room. And even the smallest apartment from a “thermos” can be turned into comfortable housing with an impeccable level of ventilation.

    The owners emphasize that such devices are not advisable to use in those regions of the country where severe frosts are rapidly replaced by rising temperatures. In this case, ice will form on the valve, and the unit will not be able to operate in principle.

    Practice shows that metal-plastic window systems practical and energy efficient. They have sound insulation, and complete tightness protects the home from drafts and cold in winter. Unfortunately, the installation of plastic windows in an apartment contributes to air stagnation due to the lack natural ventilation V PVC windows. In order not to open the windows for ventilation every time, it is necessary to install a valve, thanks to which fresh air will flow into the home.

    Installing a valve on plastic windows

    The valve is secured in a horizontal position on top of the window sash. Thanks to him supply air will regularly enter the room, creating a normal microclimate. In addition, such a problem as condensation on windows will go away. It is important that it will not be difficult for the consumer to manually adjust the amount of wind flow that is necessary.

    The valve operates when the window is closed. Small air flows will flow closer to the ceiling, so the owner of the house will not feel any inconvenience from the draft. The choice of valves is varied, they are produced as domestic producers, as well as foreign ones, standard and meeting the latest modern requirements, responding to changes in humidity in the apartment.

    Attention! You can install the valve on a plastic window with your own hands end-to-end - between the window and the wall. To install a ventilation device, you do not need to dismantle the window - just mill or drill holes.

    The specifics of valve installation depend on the profile design (with increased noise protection or air permeability). The installation is carried out without milling; 400 mm of the seal is removed from the outer contour. If the profile has increased noise protection, removal is carried out at the bottom of the block. If a profile with increased air permeability is removed at the top, opposite the installation site of the ventilation valve.

    What types of supply valves are there?

    There are three types of valves:

    • wooden;
    • metal;
    • plastic.

    The ventilation device can be adjusted using:

    • electric motor;
    • manually;
    • cord;
    • barbell

    Depending on the design of the valves, 3 standard operating modes are used:

    • When it is open and air from the street enters the house. IN technical passport When purchasing a valve, the maximum flow capacity is indicated of this device. Standard indicators are 35-50 m3 per 1 hour.
    • The valve can be in closed mode, then air enters the apartment with an intensity of 5 m3 per 1 hour.
    • If the valve is automatically regulated, it will turn on when the humidity level rises.

    Important! The secret of the automation is simple - there is polyamide fabric on the valve flaps, it is presented in the form of bundles of ribbons. When humidity rises or falls, the fabric reacts - either expanding or contracting. This brings the valve into the appropriate mode. If the valve responds to pressure inside the room, then it is equipped with a curtain with an upward suspension. When there is a strong wind flow, the curtain rises, preventing the passage of air into the apartment.

    The value of window ventilation: comparison table

    Windows allow city noise to pass through when ventilated.Complete sound insulation during valve operation.
    A large air flow and draft in damp weather when ventilating lead to colds.There is no draft even in the coldest time of the year.

    Successful new valve handle

    Installation of a supply valve on a plastic window is possible in the form of installing a special handle. This option is suitable if the apartment owner wants to keep the window intact and safe, but at the same time install a supply valve. This can be done at the place where the euro window handle is attached. The influx of air masses occurs in the lower zone, where condensation accumulates most. Thanks to the valve mounted under the window handle, as well as the natural ventilation of the house, a healthy microclimate in the room is ensured.

    Important! Inside ventilation device There is a filter that helps clean the supply air. Manufacturers recommend changing filters every 6 months.

    How to install a supply valve on plastic windows in place of the handle

    1. It is necessary to use a drill to make 5 small holes with a diameter of 12 mm with a pitch of 21 mm on one side of the profile. You need to drill along one line. And another additional hole is made directly to secure the valve.
    2. On the opposite side, 5 similar holes are also made for the air ducts.
    3. Air ducts are formed using special tubes inserted into opposite holes. Then silicone is applied around the tubes on both sides.
    4. The assembled valve is fixed to the profile using screws.
    5. The air intake housing with filter covers the ventilation ducts.
    6. It is imperative to check the operation of the ventilation device, only then attach the decorative plugs to the screws.

    The Importance of Proper Window Valve Adjustment

    Proper installation of ventilation valves in plastic windows is half the battle. In order for this element to provide the expected effect, you must be able to use it. For example, to prevent the valve on a plastic window from freezing, it must be adjusted correctly.

    Factors that are important to know about the window valve in winter:

    • thanks to the warm air in the room, the valve will warm up completely;
    • in severe frosts, the valve cannot be completely closed;
    • when the valve in x is completely closed in frosty weather, it is necessary to seal the gap for air flow from outside;
    • After installing the valve, you may hear noise in the house, you should not be alarmed. There is a small gap in the supply valves, so the noise will be insignificant.

    The most popular brands of supply window valves

    Aereko

    The supply valves are equipped with dampers made of polyamide fabric, which is very sensitive to increased air humidity. At high humidity levels, a gap forms in the damper through which supply air enters. When the humidity is normal, the damper lowers, closing the gap. Valves from this manufacturer easily withstand the coldest winters and do not freeze.

    Rehau

    The brand offers a wide range of window valves, which differ not only in price, but also in configurations. Characterized by automatic operation and noiselessness. The valve is based on a plastic membrane - it is very sensitive to wind force. If the wind is strong and gusty, it closes; if there is complete calm or a light breeze, it opens. It is often used in panel houses for ventilation device.

    Siegenia

    Products are produced German company. The consumer first of all needs to understand that when installing a valve, the window clearance can be reduced. Design suitable for large panoramic windows and balcony solutions.

    Attention! The answer to the question of how to install a supply valve on plastic windows with your own hands may be completely different. From manufacturers of metal-plastic structures, you can order windows with an already built-in ventilation system. Popularly they have already received their name “smart”.

    Regardless of the model, the supply valve becomes dirty over time, therefore, it is recommended to remove dust from the device using damp cloth. You can use a vacuum cleaner. Do not wash the valve household chemicals, as well as wet and disassemble. If there are renovation work It’s better to cover it with film to avoid getting in construction dust in the cracks.

    Probably, many of us have encountered a situation where a plastic window does not close from ventilation mode, or ventilation does not occur with the intensity that we need. In general, the issue of providing ventilation in a room where plastic windows are installed is quite interesting and extensive.

    Therefore, here I will share the most important information that will be useful not only to craftsmen, but also to ordinary owners of PVC structures.

    Ventilation methods

    Method 1. Standard ventilation

    So, if you have a plastic window installed, then the easiest way to ventilate the room is to open the sash. U modern designs made of PVC there are two opening modes:

    • rotary - the sash completely opens the opening, turning on both hinges;
    • hinged - the sash tilts into the room. In this case, the upper corner comes out of the loop and is held by a special element of the fittings.

    In fact, the sash can also move up or to the side, but such systems are almost never found in our country. This is due to the fact that the sliding mechanism cannot provide sufficient tightness and pressure of the sash to the frame, and therefore the heat loss through such a window will be very large. In general, the climate is not favorable.

    When rotating, the air exchange takes place very intensively, which is why it is used mainly for “burst ventilation”. Usually they are limited to the folding mode:

    1. The sash is set to the closed position.
    2. We turn the handle up and at the same time pull it towards ourselves.
    3. The sash tilts, forming a fairly wide gap through which fresh air enters the room.

    It should be noted that the ability to install the sash in a folding position is not available in all windows - it is the responsibility of separate element fittings, which is placed at the top of the harness.

    That is why it is better to think in advance whether you need this function: in principle, it is possible to convert a plastic window for ventilation, but this is associated with additional costs, and you are unlikely to cope with this task on your own.

    Folding ventilation has one significant drawback - sometimes the plastic window does not open for ventilation or the sash, as they say, “falls out”, hanging on one lower hinge. This situation is very common, its causes can be eliminated quite simply, and I will talk about this in a separate section.

    Method 2. Microventilation

    Traditional ventilation by placing the sash in the folding position is very effective, but it also has disadvantages. Thus, in winter, intense air flow leads to rapid cooling of the room. In addition, you should not leave leaving the sash ajar - intruders will open such a window in just a few seconds.

    In both cases, there is an alternative - slot ventilation or microventilation:

    1. Air access to the room is ensured by the fact that when the handle is turned 450 upwards, the sash moves away from the frame by literally a few millimeters.
    2. A small one is responsible for this metal part, which is built into the fittings and engages with its elements, ensuring the movement of the sash on hinges.
    3. When the microventilation mode is set, the window looks externally tightly closed. At the same time, air continues to flow regularly - albeit in small portions, but without leading to hypothermia of the room.

    Method 3. Step opening

    Normal opening is good, microventilation is also good, but sometimes both options are not suitable. That is why many manufacturers of PVC structures supply windows with either two-position opening regulators or special devices allowing you to adjust the tilt angle of the flap.

    The opening regulator is located at the top of the frame on inside and is a lever of variable length:

    1. If you open the regulator completely, the flap will tilt as wide as possible, providing intense air flow.
    2. If you shorten the regulator lever, the sash is set to the so-called winter ventilation - the gap is 1 - 2 cm, which makes it possible to minimize the hypothermia of the room.

    An example of such a device is the “Winter - Summer” system in Siegenia aubi favorit fittings.

    Step opening also works quite simply:

    1. The so-called “comb” is responsible for the functioning of the system - a small part that is built into the fittings.
    2. When opening the window to tilt, we turn the handle to an angle of 450 (as when installing micro-ventilation).
    3. In this case, the handle goes through four or five positions, each of which corresponds to its own opening width of the sash. By installing it in the chosen position, we will ensure the intensity of ventilation we need.

    The features of most fitting systems do not allow the installation of both microventilation and step mechanism. However, as a rule, the extreme position of stepped ventilation approximately corresponds to the thinnest gap, therefore these systems are largely interchangeable.

    In addition, to implement the step-by-step opening function, you can set simplest mechanismplastic comb. This part is a gear rack that is placed on the frame and, when opened, engages with a counter protrusion mounted on the sash (attached under the handle). Outwardly, of course, it does not look as neat as the built-in stepwise ventilation mechanism, but it performs its function.

    An advantage is the fact that the comb can be placed on any window - as long as its sash opens in a tilting/turning position. At the same time, a specialist is not required for installation: you just need to tighten three or four self-tapping screws.

    Ventilation valves as a special tool for air exchange

    The operating principle of the devices and their advantages

    If you don’t want to face problems like “the window is jammed” or “it’s blowing from the open opening,” then instead of traditional ventilation you can install a special ventilation valve:

    1. A window ventilation valve is a device that is usually mounted at the top of the frame and closes the through hole.
    2. Inside the valve there is a mechanism that regulates the intensity of air flow into the room.
    3. The most simple designs are equipped with mechanical adjustment: if we need it, we open the valve, if not, we close it, completely or almost completely blocking the air exchange.
    4. More complex valves operate using a hygroscopic sensor: the higher the air humidity in the room, the more intense the ventilation.

    All valves of this type provide only fresh air. For their normal functioning It is very important that the hood works properly in the room - natural or forced.

    Such devices have several obvious advantages:

    1. You can set the ventilation intensity once, and adjust it only when weather conditions change.
    2. When ventilating, the window remains closed, so the level of protection against unauthorized entry is not reduced.

    1. Air enters the room gradually, and in small volumes. Besides, vent located at the top of the room. Therefore, cold air masses mix with warm air under (pure physics!) and the apartment does not cool down as much as with normal ventilation.

    The main disadvantage is the price of the devices. So, the VENTAIR THERMO valve will cost us about 1800 rubles, and the most simple model from AERECO (with humidity regulation) – 2 – 2.5 thousand rubles.

    How to install a valve on a window

    The ventilation valves themselves are expensive, but in addition to purchasing the device, we will also have to spend money on its installation. However, if you have the skill, you can easily do it yourself.

    I install supply valves according to the following scheme:

    1. The sash is removed from its hinges and installed vertically on a flat surface.
    2. I remove the fittings from the top of the sash - they will interfere with the work.

    1. I apply the mounting strip - the part that is used to secure the valve - to the protrusion of the sash from the outside, after which I use a marker to mark the size and position of the ventilation holes.
    2. Using a drill, I drill 4-5 holes according to the markings. Then I use a thin saw or jigsaw to connect the holes, forming a long groove or two grooves separated by a thin partition.

    1. I fix the mounting strip on the sash with self-tapping screws. The junction of the plank and the sash using moisture-resistant silicone.

    To prevent the air from whistling during intensive ventilation, I also cover the opened chambers in the window profile with silicone.

    1. I repeat the operations on the frame, but instead mounting plate I'm installing a canopy on the outside. The design of the canopy can be very different, ranging from a simple canopy to complex system with an acoustic curtain that reduces the volume of transmitted sound.
    2. I return the dismantled fittings to their place and hang the sash on its hinges.

    1. I snap the valve itself onto the fastenings of the mounting plate so that the ventilation hole is directed at an upward angle.
    2. Using the slider or handle, I adjust the ventilation intensity, choosing the optimal mode.

    This instruction is for informational purposes only, since the installation technology for different valves may differ (for example, there are models that are mounted without a mounting strip, directly on the window). But in any case, following it, you will be able to install the device to provide supply ventilation through a plastic window.

    Solving the problem with a jammed sash

    When talking about ventilation through windows, one cannot ignore the problems associated with this process. So, people often ask what to do if a plastic window jams in ventilation mode?

    The reason for this situation is the following: if you try to switch the sash to the tilt mode from the rotary mode without closing it tightly enough, then the lower corner may simply not be secured. As a result, the sash hangs on one hinge and a lever that limits opening.

    The problem is solved as follows:

    1. We lift the jammed sash and press it against the frame, returning it to the closed position.
    2. Separately press the lower corner of the sash, which is located opposite the lower hinge.
    3. We turn the handle, moving it to the “closed” position - i.e. lever down.

    If the handle is jammed, i.e. it doesn't turn, you don't need to use force - you'll just break the lever. This situation most often occurs when the sash is skewed, so you should first try to carefully eliminate the skew. To do this, it is usually enough to slightly move the sash, applying force to the flap, and after opening, adjust the position of the hinges.

    1. After this, we repeat the attempt to open in ventilation mode - everything should work out!

    To avoid such a development of events, it is worth installing such a part as an erroneous opening blocker. It prevents any attempt to move the sash into the turning position until it is completely closed and all hinges are engaged.

    Sometimes the reason why a plastic window does not open well for ventilation is wear and tear on the fittings. In this case, the optimal solution would be to clean it from contaminants (a mixture of dust and oil often forms a dense crust on the trunnions and mating elements) followed by lubrication.

    After lubrication, you should turn the handle several times, checking how freely the window opens.

    Well, if this doesn’t help, then probably only a specialist in fittings can help - so you should contact a specialist.

    Conclusion

    If the window in your house or apartment never opens for ventilation, you should not be surprised at your poor health. Ventilation is required to ensure access to fresh air.

    And modern metal-plastic structures have many mechanisms that can provide this ventilation. The video in this article will help you understand their range. , and I will answer all your questions regarding window ventilation here in the comments or on the forum.
