DIY transformable coffee table. Build a transforming table with your own hands: drawings of ideas are included. Folding table for the kitchen

Most apartments cannot please you with a wide area. Residents have to get out of their way to deceive the space and not deprive themselves necessary items. Multifunctional furniture helps you win extra square meters, and belongs to this group.

Transformable tables are well suited for the kitchen, living room and even bedroom. This piece of furniture can be made in different ways, depending on the functions that you want to give it.

This table is also called a folding table. It is classified according to its functions:

  • coffee table;
  • Coffee table - workplace;
  • table - storage system.

The coffee-dining option can be found most often, because the number of friends and acquaintances who come to visit increases over the years, and living space- No.

The transformable dining table is unnoticeable and does not detract from valuable space. IN common days it plays the role of a coffee table, and on holidays it turns into a real dinner table. In order to seat 5-7 people, a few simple manipulations are enough. This is suitable when the whole space is connected into one.

When creating a coffee table - a workplace, a different type of tabletop is used. There is no need for it to unfold completely or change shape. This version of the transformable table turns into a desk, taking on the required height. Additionally, the furniture is equipped with drawers to store office supplies. Depending on the fastening system, the table can be given several positions.

Models with smooth adjustment mechanisms are more convenient to use. With their help, you can organize a workplace in any corner of the apartment.

The table storage system has original design. It consists of two or three drawers and a tabletop. The table opens due to rotation around its axis.

Folding device

You can’t skimp on it, because ease of use depends on it. The table should unfold in a few movements and not require much effort.

Folding tables with a complex automatic mechanism provide simultaneous change in the area and height of the tabletop.

Table frame

The duration of operation depends on its strength. Frames come in different materials:

  • wooden;
  • metal;
  • with plastic parts.

Structures made of metal and wood are considered the most reliable. They withstand repeated unfolding and folding cycles well. Frames with plastic components are cheaper, but do not withstand long-term use. But if the table is rarely transformed, this option can be considered.

Legs

They serve as a support, so they must withstand a large load, which increases when the table is unfolded. Thick glass supports have proven themselves to be quite good. They themselves are quite heavy and can withstand considerable weight. Glass legs are perfect if you need a transformable table for the living room.

Wooden supports also cope well with the load. This option is suitable for classic interiors.

Additionally, you should read. It depends on the material from which the top is made appearance products.

Such furniture comes in several varieties, which depend on the table transformation mechanism:

  1. Using inserts. It is considered the most popular type. The design has a built-in tabletop, which diverges along the guides at the moment of transformation. The additional part of the tabletop can be placed in the center or on the sides of the table.
  2. Using an automatic mechanism. It has one or two additional surfaces located under the tabletop. When the main part begins to move, the additional parts also move. This type of table can have several layout options and have gas lift or springs. The latter option is considered more reliable.
  3. Double decomposition. The model consists of two surfaces stacked on top of each other. To unfold such a table, just fold back the top part.
  4. Rotary table . Interesting option, in which the main top and additional tabletops do not form a single whole when expanded. To create such a table, special metal guides are used.

What is needed to create a transforming table?

Many people decide to make such a piece of furniture themselves after looking at the prices for transforming tables in stores. The finished table will cost about 15 thousand rubles. If you do it yourself, you can save at least 5 thousand rubles.

Project cost:

  • Transformation mechanism – from 3 thousand rubles.
  • Chipboard panels for tabletops and legs – from 500 rub.
  • Fasteners - from 50 rub.
  • Set of screws and self-tapping screws – from 200 rub.

Folding table can really be done for $100.

Manufacturing consists of several stages:

  1. Choosing a folding mechanism.
  2. Creating a project.
  3. Cutting parts from a chipboard panel.
  4. Initial fitting of parts.
  5. Installation of the frame.
  6. Installation of table supports.
  7. Installation of countertops.

To make a high-quality transforming table, it is better to create drawings in special computer programs. They not only draw a layout of the future furniture, but also calculate how much materials are needed and create a cutting map. The programs are quite simple to manage, so creating a project will take one or two days.

The number of parts and their sizes can be ordered in the same store where chipboard panels are sold. The cut strips will only need to be bolted together, after which the transformation mechanism will be installed. For smooth installation, you need to make markings with a pencil before drilling holes for the screws.

The finished table will be no different from store exhibits if you select a high-quality transformation mechanism and materials for the frame. This type of furniture should be chosen if you do not know how to create

An elementary sense of common sense prompts you to assemble a transforming table with your own hands - cost savings in this case will range from 50 to 75%, depending on the model and materials. It may not be possible to make an extendable table without significant loss of time if this is your first experience in making furniture. However, the time spent is compensated by the acquired skills, which allow further projects to be carried out much faster. After all, not one House master does not pick up an instrument just once: in the living room, bedroom, hallway there is always a place to apply one’s strength and creative imagination.

Folding book table

In many families, a large dining table is not needed all year round. However, its presence can help out if guests arrive. Sliding mechanism Perfectly suited for these purposes, a modest wooden table equipped with it stands discreetly in the corner, performing auxiliary functions. But when his time comes, he stands in the center of the apartment.

It is proposed to make a frame furniture mechanism with lowering halves of the lid. Materials you will need:

  • planed bars 20x50 mm;
  • plywood or thin 10 mm planks (for boxes);
  • furniture board: chipboard, laminated chipboard or MDF (on the lid).

Fig.1. Drawings of a folding table-book: 1 – driving frame; 2 – rotating frame; 3- folding plane; 4 – drawer; 5 – assembly of the side part of the main frame (option B); 6 – medium narrow chipboard tabletop option B

Fig.2. Table assembly diagram: 2 – elements of the rotating frame; 3- folding plane; 4 – drawer; 5 – driving frame

Mechanism for assembling the table-book:

  1. The table legs are sawn off to the required length.
  2. Markings are applied to them.
  3. According to the markings, grooves are hollowed out for the longitudinal drawers (transverse slats connecting the table legs).

Note! The grooves for the lower slats can be made at any height, and when hollowing out the upper slats, the height of the drawer is taken into account.

  1. The longitudinal drawers are sawed off to length.
  2. Single spikes are filed down at their ends.
  3. Glue the side frames (2 pieces), after checking the accuracy of the assembly with a square.
  4. While the side frames are drying, make 2 supports for the side covers of the table. They too frame design(in Fig. 1 and 2 – No. 5).

Installation of a table-book

The length of the support legs corresponds to the height of the table legs. The size of the other vertical post is equivalent to the distance between the outer edges of the longitudinal frames. And in order for the supporting support in the folded position not to look beyond the table, the width of the support should be equal to half the length of the table sides.

Mechanism for assembling the table-book (continued):

  1. On the bars intended for support, it’s time to make single through and blind tenon joints.
  2. The bars are connected with glue.
  3. In the dried sidewalls, saw down and select recesses for attaching short transverse drawers (No. 2 in the diagram).
  4. The sides with these short drawers are connected with glue and screws.
  5. WITH inside guide rails are attached to the upper longitudinal drawers for movement drawers(No. 4 on the diagram).
  6. Side walls drawers (cabinets) are made of plywood or thin 10 mm boards.
  7. The front wall of the cabinet should be made of a thicker board.
  8. Quarters are cut along the edges of these boards to attach the sides of the box.
  9. All elements of the cabinets are held together with glue and screws.
  10. The bottom of the cabinets (drawers) is cut from thin plywood or fiberboard.
  • Note! A special feature of the design is that the front wall of the drawer extends inside the legs. This means that the front plane of the wall and the edges of the legs are flush. And in order to achieve this, clamps are attached to the guide rails and upper longitudinal drawers, which do not allow the drawer to move further than necessary (No. 3 in the diagram).
  1. Table tops are cut from chipboard, laminated chipboard or MDF. Begin work by marking and cutting out the middle cover.
  • Note! The edges of the middle cover above the table structure will protrude 20-25 mm. This will allow the support support to be hidden under the lowered half of the cover.
  1. The middle cover is secured with four metal corners(No. 3 in the diagram), screwed with screws from the inside of the upper transverse frames.
  2. The side covers are attached to the middle one with a piano loop. It is screwed on from the bottom with screws.
  • Note! If you turn the furniture structure over, connect all the lids and only then start tightening the hinges, it will be more convenient to work.

Was regular - became folding

To assemble a transforming table with your own hands, you don’t have to start everything from the very beginning. You can convert an existing wooden single- or double-pedestal table into a sliding furniture mechanism. Design solution in both cases it is not particularly different - the tables are equipped with a retractable element.

Fig.3. The mechanism for converting a two-pedestal table into a sliding one is represented by the front panel of the top drawer (1); persistent chipboard board (2); loops (3); horizontal chipboard board (4); screws (5)

To modernize a two-pedestal table, as the drawings show, it is necessary to get rid of the top drawer of the right cabinet. If, due to the layout of the living room, it is more convenient for you to part with the pull-out cabinet on the left cabinet, carry out the project in a mirror manner. This issue is not fundamental; the selected desk drawer must be completely disassembled. Only its front side with the handle should remain.

Another board is attached to this board with screws (5) at the end, the dimensions of which coincide with the dimensions of the box that was previously there. Loops (3) are screwed from below, on which the thrust board (2) is fixed.

Board No. 2, when folded, should be in close contact with board No. 4 so that entering the space freed from the box is problem-free. When extended, board No. 4 will serve as an additional table, and board No. 2 will serve as a support for it. To avoid distortions, this plane should be tilted completely 90°.

Differences in retrofitting a single-pedestal table

A table with one cabinet, after modernization, will increase its area much more than a two-pedestal one. In addition, its disassembled geometry will be different from the layout of a two-pedestal structure.

Fig.4. The mechanism for converting a single-pedestal table into an extendable one is represented by a horizontal cutout (1); desk drawers (2); retractable board (3); thrust board (4); wheels of the thrust board (5); squares (6); side wall of the table (7); additional slats (position 8)

As in the first case, you will have to remove the drawers. But this time it will not be cabinets located in the cabinet, but drawers located at the top of the table itself. Both boxes should be removed, and a horizontal cut should be made on the left side of the box (1). The width of the completed opening should be equal to the thickness of the selected sliding board (3), which in the near future will become the plane of the elongated table.

The mechanism for smooth sliding of the retractable board in the formed internal niche of the table will be provided by additional slats (8), installed along the direction of its movement. To prevent the board from falling out from the end that goes into the furniture, you should make 2 stoppers. From the side of the second end, a thrust board (4) on wheels (5) is attached to the sliding board at a 90° angle with squares (6). Board No. 4 is rigidly attached to board No. 3, and when assembled it fits tightly to the side wall of the table (7). In the place where the drawers (2) were previously located, a decorative plate is installed, after which the sliding furniture mechanism can be considered ready for use.

It is understood that the dimensions of your table may differ from what our drawings show. However, the measurements of all elements and the mechanism for re-equipping the table, presented in Fig. 3 and 4 can be taken as a basis when performing conversions.

Two-level table

The proposed wooden table can be used as a coffee table all year round. However, if necessary, it easily and elegantly turns into a living room decoration - a large dining table. Drawings of this product in different sources may differ slightly, we offer optimal sizes. Judge for yourself, when folded, this is a wonderful coffee table; it reaches a height of 752 mm. But by lifting the top of the structure until the supporting pedestals are disconnected, turning the lid 90° and sliding the pedestal (3) into the pedestal (6), we get a high dining table.

Fig.5. Coffee-dining table for the living room. Consists of table top (1); base plate (2); cabinets (3) attached to tabletop 1; support rail (4) of cabinet 3; stiffener beam (5); cabinets (6) attached to the base plate 2; support rail (7) cabinet 6

The design of the coffee and dining table is panel, all elements are attached with dowels and glue. Making this item for the living room interior will require precise measurements; it is especially important to maintain the dimensions of the cabinets. In addition, you should pay attention to the strength of the connection of the slats (7) on which the cabinet (3) rests.

Current housing is often disappointing due to its small size. To stay with the necessary items, the owners try everything available options to prevent space shortages. Additional area helps to obtain universal interior elements, one of which is transformable coffee table with your own hands.

This type of furniture harmonizes well with any room. The transforming table has a huge number of images, based on what properties it should perform.

Differently this type tables are called folding tables. And they can be:

  • table - storage;
  • lunch and magazine;
  • magazine workers.

The storage table stands out with its original design. Its elements are two or three drawers and a tabletop. And they open it by rotating around its axis.

The most common is considered to be a dining and coffee table, since over time, the number of acquaintances and friends as guests increases, which cannot be said about the dimensions of the place of residence.

Such tables are very inconspicuous and do not require a huge amount of free space. On a normal day they come coffee tables, but on holidays they transform into comfortable table for lunch. A few simple movements will be enough and 5-7 people will fit behind it.

To create a transformer table with your own hands of a magazine-work type, use a different type of tabletop. There is no need to completely unfold it or change its shape. This type of transforming table transforms into a desk and takes on the required height. Additional drawers are included for storing office supplies. Also, the table can take different positions, depending on the order of the fasteners.

The versions with a smooth mechanism are the most convenient to use. They allow you to turn any corner of your home into a workplace.

Types of transforming tables

This type of apartment accessory is available in many types, depending on the table transformation device:

There are 1-2 additional surfaces that are located under the tabletop. At the moment the main part begins to move, the additional elements. This type of table has several layout variations, and it may include gas lift and springs “considered the most reliable variation.”

Very interesting view. During unfolding, the additional and main elements do not become one. Special metal guides are used to build such a table.

Using inserts

The most popular type of tables. The design features a tabletop that diverges during transformation. Additional tabletop elements can be placed on the sides or in the center.

This model consists of two surfaces that fold on top of each other. To decompose, you just need to remove the top part.

Decomposition design

Since it affects ease of use, you should not spare money when purchasing. Such tables should not require a lot of effort to open them; movements should be easy.

Changing the height and area of the tabletop is inherent in folding tables, which have a complex automatic device.

Legs

Of course, they play the role of support, and therefore are required to withstand a large load, which increases during the expansion of the table. Thick glass supports performed very well; they themselves are quite heavy and can support large weights. If the folding table is intended for the living room, then glass legs are ideal for it.

For classic interiors, wooden supports are more suitable, as they can also withstand considerable loads.

To construct a transformer table with your own hands, the drawings will be extremely useful. It is also recommended to study what types of countertops there are, since the material they are made of affects the entire design of the furniture as a whole.

Frame

The strength of the frame affects the period of operation. Materials from which frames are made: with plastic parts, wood, metal.

The most reliable are wooden and metal frames, they cope well with big amount folding and unfolding. Plastic components make frames cheaper, but with less use time. But you can think about such a variation if the transformation of the table is not frequent.

What is needed to make a transformable table

After becoming familiar with the cost of transforming tables, a huge number of people decide to build such a piece of furniture themselves. A whole table can be purchased for 15,000 rubles. At self-creation saves up to 5,000 rubles.

Project price:

  • Fasteners – 50 rubles;
  • Layout device – from 3,000 rubles;
  • A set of self-tapping screws and self-tapping screws – from 200 rubles.
  • Chipboard panels for legs and tabletops - from 500 rub.
  • Creating a transforming table will cost $100.

To construct, you must complete the following steps:

  • select a layout device;
  • create a project;
  • cut out parts from the laminated chipboard panel;
  • fit parts;
  • install the frame;
  • install table supports;
  • put a tabletop.

For more quality work It’s better to use a special program on your computer.

It will not only help you draw a projection of the future table, but will also create a cutting map and calculate the quantity necessary materials. This program is very easy to use, allowing you to create a project within one or two days.

Garden folding table looks organic in the shade of trees summer cottage, under a canopy or in a gazebo, while making your stay comfortable and convenient. A huge advantage of this design is its compactness when folded and the special warmth that comes from things made with your own hands. Anyone can make a folding table for a summer house, especially since the work process does not require any specific tools, and the material for the structure can be purchased at any construction market.

DIY folding picnic table. Step by step photos

Before you start assembling a folding table, you should remember that half the success lies in using quality materials . The timber and board must have as few knots as possible, and cracks and delamination of the wood are not allowed. In addition to lumber, you will need fasteners, hinges, and means to protect lumber from exposure to the atmosphere.

Materials needed to make a table

To make a folding table, you need to have on hand:

  1. timber measuring 45×45 mm - 8 pcs. 730 mm long - for making legs;
  2. slats 45x20 mm: 2 x 550 mm and 2 x 950 mm - for assembling the upper frame of the table, as well as 2 x 350 mm - for the folding part;
  3. plywood slats 40×27 mm for supports - 3 x 450 mm;
  4. 18 mm plywood with dimensions: - 985x585 - sheet for the tabletop; - 2 sheets 985x530 for folding parts; - 1 sheet 885x481 mm for the shelf;
  5. rail 440×40 mm as a cross member;
  6. 2 slats 450x40 mm for side support elements;
  7. 4 loops 60×34 mm for fastening table covers;
  8. 4 loops 80x41 mm for folding legs;
  9. screws made of galvanized or stainless steel;
  10. metal dowels for mounting shelves.

When cutting workpieces, try to ensure that the corners of all parts and their ends have right angles. To do this, use a carpenter's square, and if it is missing, you can use an angle sheet material factory cutting.

Assembly instructions

Before you start assembling a folding table with your own hands, you need to prepare timber parts for installation. To do this, a groove up to 20 mm wide and deep to the middle of the workpiece (22.5 mm) is cut out on each frame part. The same distance is measured from the edge to the groove - 30-40 mm.

Step-by-step photo of how to make a folding picnic table

After all the grooves have been cut, drill holes for connecting parts together, as well as attaching legs.

To avoid distortion of the frame when making a folding table with your own hands, make a cross cuts, which will include the corners of the frame during installation. This process can be examined in more detail in the presented figures.

Properly prepared parts are the key to high-quality assembly, so it is advisable to use quality equipment- good circular saw, drill, set of chisels and other carpentry tools.

Assembling the upper frame underframes(common name for tabletop frame). To do this, the slats are assembled into a groove and fixed with furniture confirmations (screws for a hex key);

Installed on the assembled frame support legs , combining the sawn parts with the frame slats.

At the corners of the plywood shelf they make cutouts for supports. To fix the slab, install the legs at a distance of 220 mm from the edge of the legs. metal dowels.

Retractable support elements are assembled. To do this, the remaining bars are connected in pairs with slats installed in grooves, fixing the connection points with confirmations.

Having sanded and primed the tabletop and other parts, they begin to paint the footrest, slats and tabletop.

Mount shelf spacer. The side lintels are attached to the tabletop frame. The support rails are attached to the shelf, for which holes are drilled in it. Remember that this work requires special care, since even small displacements can affect the geometry of the table.

A jumper is mounted to the table frame, after which three additional spacers are attached.

Retractable legs They are hinged and attached to the external struts.

Main and folding parts table tops screwed to the hinges.

The table cover is installed on frame, after which the middle part is fixed to the frame with self-tapping screws.

A table assembled in accordance with our instructions will have sufficient strength and reliability. The main thing is to carry out the work step by step, in the presented sequence. Processing and painting must be carried out before assembly. Otherwise, it will not be possible to carefully paint individual parts and the finished product will not look elegant and impressive enough.

DIY transformer table. Instructions

Table sliding type It has a durable, stable design, and even a beginner can handle its assembly. When folded, the dimensions of the tabletop are 1200x700 mm. After sliding the table top apart, a special insert is installed into the resulting opening, resulting in a tabletop length of 1670 mm. This makes it possible to additionally place two adults at the table.

Instructions for making a folding table

Stage 1. Do marking sheet material, then cut out tabletop parts from laminated chipboard - an insert measuring 700x470 mm, as well as two halves of the table top measuring 700x470 mm. You can avoid chipping on the surface of the chipboard by using a jigsaw with a special file with a low-profile tooth. Additionally, you can stick it on the place of the cut. masking tape, which will prevent chipping of the facing layer.

Remember: if you plan to process workpieces with a milling cutter, be sure to make a processing allowance of at least 2 mm.

To cut the slab evenly, attach it to the workbench with clamps and level the edge. The tool should be operated slowly, constantly monitoring the quality of the cut.

Stage 2. Trimming using a router will allow you to get perfectly smooth side surfaces. This tool is also used slowly and carefully.

Stage 3. Pasting the ends of the tabletop with PVC edges. The workpiece is secured with a clamp, cut off and the edge is applied to the side surface of the slab. After this it is heated construction hairdryer or iron and smooth. After the material has hardened, the protruding edge of the edge is cut off with a wallpaper knife.

Stage 4. All sharp edges and corners of aluminum corners are processed.

Stage 5. At each corner, mark the middle and measure 25 mm from each edge.

Stage 6. Each side of the furniture guides is applied to the corner and the places of their attachment are marked. The corners are drilled at the designated points. To prevent the drill from sliding on the aluminum, the installation positions are cored. The corners and guides are connected with bolts.

Stage 7. Resulting guide designs lay down on a flat substrate as follows: the corners connected to the internal guides (thin) are placed inward, towards each other, and the corners to which the outer parts of the guides are attached (fixed, thicker) are placed outward. After this, 4 holes are drilled in the moving and fixed aluminum parts.

Stage 8. Both halves table tops lay face down on a workbench or other flat surface. On top, at a distance of 80 mm from the sides of the panels, retractable guides are installed (with the movable, thin part inward). In this case, the joint between the halves of the table top should fall in the middle of each guide.

Stage 9. The fixed half of the telescopic guide They are attached to the left half of the table cover, and the movable one is attached to its right side. To do this, use 20x4 mm self-tapping screws.

Stage 10. Near sliding system install latches and hinges.

Stage 11. With the latches open, move both parts of the tabletop apart and place additional panel. After this, all elements of the table cover are shifted to form a flat, gap-free surface.

Stage 12. Additional latch loops are installed on the middle part of the tabletop. The resulting fastening will allow you to fix the table both in the open and in the assembled state.

Stage 13. The legs are attached to the tabletop using 20mm self-tapping screws.

After assembling a folding table with your own hands, be sure to check the design for strength in the extended and folded position. Only after testing can the table be considered suitable for use and installed in a permanent place.

Transformers can be called not only large robots from the famous series of science fiction films of the same name, but also home furniture. In a sense, a folding sofa is also a transformer, because with a slight movement of the hand it can be turned, for example, into a spacious double bed.

Transformers in the full sense of the word are now commonly called other types of furniture, with much greater functionality. Such models can combine two or even three completely different types furniture. For example, a wardrobe-bed, a chair-table, a sofa-bunk bed. Such furniture is often called smart furniture or intelligent furniture.

Smart furniture models are very convenient to use in small apartments or children's rooms, when you want to have a full-fledged sofa, table, bed, but at the same time preserve as much free space as possible.

The article will talk about how to assemble a table bed (a very popular transformer now) with your own hands.

Table-bed

This type of furniture is especially relevant for children's rooms. First of all, two pieces of furniture are combined in one, significantly saving space, which is so necessary for the child. In addition, the child will undoubtedly love such an unusual bed.

1 2 3 4

A complex composite mechanism that connects the bed frame and the table allows you to easily transform the structure into two positions - bed and table. In practice, transitioning from one position to another turns out to be much easier than unfolding a sofa book.

The price for high-quality transformers from manufacturers is quite high. But with certain skills in working with wood and tools such as a drill and screwdriver, as well as patience and diligence, it is quite possible to assemble a smart bed yourself.

Making a regular bed with your own hands is not difficult. If you already have manufacturing experience home furniture- This is very good. But we must remember that we are assembling two different pieces of furniture, connected by a rather complex transformation mechanism. Therefore, experience will be more useful here self-assembly folding sofas.

By the way, assembling a separate transformer table with your own hands is also much easier. The main difficulty is correct installation a transformation mechanism, without which the table-bed will not be able to function.

Drawings and diagrams

To assemble a table bed with a transformer function with your own hands, be sure to use the drawings. As when assembling any other furniture, even the most ordinary chair, the diagram must be thought out in advance.

Fortunately, you can find a plan and drawing of furniture of almost any design, including transformational ones. Therefore, to implement your own table-bed project, select suitable option on our website. Another advantage is that all models of table-bed transformers are based on one scheme. The models differ only in additional items (the presence of tables on the sides, additional shelves, lockers). You can later add the necessary elements to any table-bed.

The standard size of the table-bed frame is 2066-2150 mm in length, width/depth (including the protruding part of the table-bed) - 1000-1060 mm, height - 1800 mm.

Necessary materials

To make a table-bed you can use different materials, depending on your preferences and financial capabilities. But it’s better to focus on (L)chipboard or MDF. First material (laminated particle board) - cheaper, the second (slab of fine wood fraction) - more expensive, more reliable and easier to work with. The thickness of the slabs must be at least 20 mm. It is from these that the main frame is made, as well as the bed and table.

As back wall can be used regular plywood, or not use anything at all, because the structure should be placed against the wall (or even better, secured to the wall, just like cabinets are attached).

The main material is the transformation mechanism, which is called the transformer table-bed mechanism 591. It can be purchased in specialized stores or ordered from suppliers. The average price ranges from three and a half to four thousand rubles.

Mechanism table-bed transformer 591

The mechanism consists of:

  • paired power traction units (they are the ones that raise and lower the tabletop and bed);
  • two gas springs (or gas lifts - they help us raise and lower the table-bed and fix the parts in the final position);
  • paired cotter pins, nuts and washers (for fastening the mechanism to the body of the table-bed);
  • slats, bushings, pads, locking units (fix the table and bed in the unfolded/folded position);
  • set of self-tapping screws.

In addition, you will need a set of standard tools - drill, screwdriver, jigsaw.
