But without the right diet, treatment makes no sense; the disease leads to complications.

The inflammatory process characteristic of gastroduodenitis can develop under the influence of the following factors:

  1. Infection with the bacterium Helicobacter pylori.
  2. Constantly being in stressful situations.
  3. Neuroses.
  4. Medicines that, when used for a long time, lead to the destruction of intestinal flora.
  5. Poor diet, unbalanced diet.
  6. Increased acid formation.

The disease can occur in both chronic and acute forms.

Chronic gastroduodenitis is divided into types:

  • Erosive;
  • Superficial appearance (occurs most often in children);
  • Hypertrophic;
  • Mixed.

Among the manifestations of the disease are the following symptoms:

Diet features:

  1. Acute form of the disease. It is caused by poor nutrition, when a person is used to eating on the go, consuming a lot of alcohol, fatty foods, canned goods and smoked foods.   6. Superficial gastroduodenitis. How to eat during exacerbations of gastroduodenitis

The length of time you stay on a gentle diet depends on the type of gastroduodenitis. With superficial gastritis, this period can be shortened, and with erosive duodenitis, on the contrary, it can be extended until the ulcers and erosions on the mucous membrane heal.

If the acidity of the gastric juice is low, diet No. 2 is used, the purpose of which is to normalize gastrointestinal motility and stimulate secretory function.

A qualitative diet with low acidity is physiologically complete - strong broths, vegetables and fruits, all types of oils, and various sauces are allowed.

Chronic gastroduodenitis has two periods. During exacerbation of gastroduodenitis, the patient complains of pain in the epigastric region. At first it is quite strong, similar to contractions, then it subsides, but is felt upon palpation. Often the pain appears on an empty stomach and disappears if the person eats. The diet for erosive gastroduodenitis is longer and stricter; the patient must adhere to table No. 1A and 1B for much longer, and then simply No. 1.
