Don't forget about roofing material, which is superimposed on top of everything. Some experts use a thatched roof.

First of all, you need to clarify what plan the future house will be, decide on it appearance . For this purpose, a schematic drawing is first sketched out to determine the type of building.

Characteristics of a children's country house that must be determined before starting construction work:

Development of a plan for a children's playhouse made of wood

Initially, preparation is required detailed plan construction work, as well as sketches and drawings. It is important to take into account the specifics of the future structure:

  • The distance between the floor and ceiling should be at least one and a half meters. However, it is not advisable to make the room too high.
  • Will the right decision install at least two windows. Firstly, such a measure will provide sufficient lighting in the room of the house. Secondly, you need to remember about the safety of children, who need constant supervision. Children can be monitored through windows.
  • It is recommended to make the door up to the ceiling level. This way, the child will definitely not get a bump on his forehead, and besides, it is possible that adults will someday have to stop by to visit the baby.
  • To avoid unnecessary injury, all walls on the inside and outside should be smooth.
  • It is better to make the roof sloping, since a flat one can attract children, and sooner or later they will perch on the roof, which will create a traumatic situation.

Tools and materials for construction

Before you start building a small country house for children, you need purchase the following tools:

List of materials that will be required for the construction process:

  • Wooden beam for frame house. Builders recommend using timber with a cross-section of 50X50.
  • Cladding lumber. You should choose plywood whose thickness does not exceed 10 mm. Oriented strand boards are also used. They are cheaper than plywood, but more wear-resistant. Everything is at the discretion of the owners.
  • Roofing material.
  • Bricks.
  • Glass for window frames. It must be taken into account that glass is unsafe for a child, therefore, if you want to increase the access of light to the house, it is better to install plastic windows.

How to make a children's house: construction technology

Foundation and floor

Similar to construction big houses, children's playhouses start building by laying the foundation. You can use earth, gravel, cement or crushed stone as the base.

Exist different variants, which are suitable for laying wooden boards. Some people remove the top layer of soil, cover it with crushed stone, level the area, and then lay support bars on the site. You can do it differently: each corner of the building should be paved with a special concrete block, and the supports are placed on a sand cushion. Thus, the corners of the building will be placed at a depth of up to half a meter. The soil from the recesses should be removed, and a mixture of sand and gravel should be poured into them. Then the holes are carefully compacted.

Blocks are installed on the prepared places, which must be on the same level. To prevent the frame from being crooked, you should use a building level.

Without a waterproofing layer, the house will not be able to stand for many years. Most often, the insulator is roofing felt or modern bitumen-polymer mastic. Some people prefer natural ventilation. In this case little house built on metal rods or brick pillars no more than 20 cm high.

Walls

Having dealt with the foundation and floor, you can move on to installing the walls. To make walls, it is necessary to construct a frame of beams, which in the next stages is connected to thin cladding boards or panels. We must not forget about doors and windows. The first step should be to install timber in each corner, the cross-section of which is usually 50X50, and length - three meters. The product is cut into three equal parts or in half. Then the beams are attached under the door and window frames.

To fix the main beam, it is nailed to the floor using nails. The main thing is that these nails can be easily pulled out later. This measure is explained by the fact that ensuring a strong connection of building units is possible only with the help of special fastening angles, which are installed later.

Between the rafters, auxiliary spacers must be installed to act as fasteners. Keep in mind that the beams are connected on top by a frame that serves as the basis for the roofing. After the base for the walls has been prepared, the nails are pulled out and replaced mount metal corners . The playhouse will stand firmly and will not fall apart only when all corners and joints are fastened with corner fasteners.

The bars installed in a horizontal plane mark window openings and the door. Their height is calculated in advance. Calculations are based on the width of the cladding board. The dimensions should be such that during cladding work there is no need to cut the boards according to their width or hide half of the frame. In short, you need to estimate how many solid boards can fit into the remaining lower and upper openings. Horizontal struts should be secured at this level.

Roof

The roof of a small playhouse made with your own hands can be high and flat. The design of the roof depends on personal preference. Classic performance requires the following algorithm of actions:

Sheathing and decoration of the house

The final stage of construction includes cladding and decoration of the structure. To create walls, lining, panels or wooden boards are used. The lining will allow reduce the time of cladding work, since there is no need to adjust elements that fit together without problems. Since the task was to make a children's house, it would not be superfluous to decorate it with multi-colored drawings. You can involve the children themselves in the creative process. Windows can be decorated with carved platbands, which are purchased separately, or made with your own hands.

Inside small house they make a bench and a table, but, of course, these are not the only interior items that can decorate the room. A small porch will give the house a more noble look.

The main thing is that the constructed play structure does not pose a danger to the child’s health. We are talking about proper fastening of the elements of a wooden structure. It is important that children do not get hurt or scratched during outdoor games. The boards need to be carefully planed, and apply a protective layer of some paint and varnish substance.

Self-tapping screws, nails and metal staples should not protrude or stick out; they are covered with special plugs.

And this crooked and flimsy hut seemed the height of perfection and the best refuge in the world. But having grown up, almost all parents think about arranging a strong, comfortable, and most importantly, reliable house for their child, especially if there is country house or dachas. And it’s quite easy to build, you just need to get building materials, think about the design and be patient.

Nowadays there are various ready-made plastic houses on sale, but the most popular were and remain children's wooden houses, which you can make with your own hands, taking into account the wishes of the baby and with his feasible help. The building, built together, will become a real refuge for a child, a place for games, dreams, or just a quiet cozy corner to hide, sit, think, or even cry. After all, everyone needs their own personal space, and children are no exception.

Playhouses made with your own hands are not only more interesting, original and affordable, but also carry a piece of the love and care of the parents, so the child will be especially cozy and comfortable in such a shelter. And if the baby also puts his hand into making the building, then his joy will know no bounds. You can create playhouses for children using available materials, usually plywood, chipboard sheets or boards, and bright colors will help to color natural tones.

Before building a children's wooden house, you must initially think through the future structure, paying attention to the following features:

  • open or closed view of the house;
  • height and area;

Drawing of a children's house made of plywood

  • materials needed for construction;
  • placement - the house should be on dry and sunny area garden, yard or cottage, within sight, in addition, you need to consider whether the building will touch the ground, since the manufacture of a ground or elevated structure is significantly different;
  • number of windows and doors, their sizes;
  • house addition decorative elements, slides, canopies, fences, swings, stairs or sandboxes, as in the photo;
  • type of interior decoration.

During these reflections, it is better to draw up approximate drawings in which all the wishes of the parents and the child himself will be noted. When developing a construction plan, you need to consider that:

  • the house must have at least 2 windows so that adults can see children playing;
  • For convenience, the lower border of the windows should be at a height of about 50-60 centimeters from the floor of the house;
  • the doors need to be arranged at least 25-30 centimeters higher than the height of the baby, but it is better to make them with a reserve so that, if desired, adults can come to visit the child;
  • external and interior walls it is better to make it level and safe so as not to injure children during the game;
  • It is better to make the roof steep so that the child does not want to climb on it.

You can develop drawings yourself, relying only on your desires and capabilities, or you can take a simpler route and use drawings that have already been developed, verified and tested in practice, which can be found on the Internet.

Let's look at the main types of children's houses and the features of their construction:

  1. Plywood children's playhouses

This option is the fastest to build in a garden or yard, and the facades can be decorated bright colors to protect plywood sheets from atmospheric precipitation and winds, as in the photo. To make a plywood house according to ready-made drawings, the contours of walls, windows and doorways. The plywood sheets themselves should be about 10mm thick to last long enough. For this type of house, you can make a light foundation or do without it at all. For strength, you need to dig support beams into the ground at the corners, having previously treated the wood from rotting.

Choosing the type of plywood house

Next, they begin to manufacture wall panels; for this, a frame is knocked down from a wooden beam with a section thickness of 5 by 5 cm using nails or screws, to which plywood cut according to the drawing is nailed. This is how all walls are made, which are firmly nailed to the support beams. The roof can also be made of plywood, and for strength it is recommended to nail roofing boards on top with an overlap. For safety, all corners and edges must be polished with sandpaper - and you can decorate the house with multi-colored paints. But we must remember that all varnishes and dyes must be extremely safe, because the child will spend a lot of time in this house and constantly inhale fumes.

  1. Children's wooden houses made of solid boards

A house made from solid high-quality boards will last much longer than its plywood counterpart, because well-treated wood can retain its shape for centuries. Therefore, such a children's house will serve not only children, but also grandchildren, and even great-grandchildren. And such a house on the territory of a country house or dacha looks very beautiful and elegant (as in the photo) - which is not a reason to choose this particular option for a children's shelter.

Let's consider a simple version of a children's house for a summer cottage made of wooden boards with our own hands. Like any structure, wooden playhouses need quality support. The foundation for a building can be made of wood, eliminating the long and painstaking pouring of concrete. But to increase the service life, it is better to dig a hole about a meter deep at the site of the future building and lay the foundations out of brick. Brick can also be replaced with decking boards, but its cost will be significantly higher. The simplest and fastest foundation is a few brick pillars and a timber frame attached to them. The drawings will help you become familiar with the features of such a foundation.

Construction of the dlma frame

After creating the base, you can start making the floor; for this you will need good floorboards. First, logs are attached to the harness, which are covered with boards tightly fitted to one another. To save money, you can get by with OSB or a double layer of plywood, as in the photo.

Next comes the turn of the walls. To build them, it is necessary to dig support beams into the ground in the corners and in places where windows and doors will be placed, having previously treated the wood protective equipment. Next, the walls are covered with boards. The roof is made of timber, the construction technology is similar to the previous version of the plywood house.

After completing the roofing work, you can begin interior decoration. Wood must be protected from moisture and pests by covering it by special means, and then with varnish or stain. For convenience, inside the building you need to arrange tables and benches of suitable sizes for the child. Below are drawings of such a wooden house.

Video of the construction of a children's house in the country

An interesting option for a children's house is a hut on chicken legs, like from the fairy tale about Baba Yaga. A feature of constructing such a structure with your own hands is the presence of high supports, which can be made of brick, thick wooden logs or thick steel pipes. The height of the support should be no more than 70 centimeters for the safety of children. The supports must be strong and well dug into the soil, creating reliable foundation for a children's playhouse. The features of such a building are visible in the photo.

Next, a wooden beam is attached to the base, which will serve as the frame of the house. Strong floorboards are laid end to end on the square frame - and the flooring is ready. Next, you can begin installing the walls, which is carried out by analogy with plywood and wooden houses - first they are made from timber wooden frame, and then sheath it with sheets of plywood or boards. The base of the roof is made of timber, on which metal tiles, slate, plywood or laminate are laid.

Since the house is raised above the ground, the entrance to it must be equipped with a strong wooden ladder, for safety it is better to supplement it with good high railings, as in the photo. Such an unusual and fabulous structure will add an amazing magical flavor to the design of the dacha.

  1. Tree house

Older children will be delighted with the shelter built on the branches of a tree, because climbing into it is an adventure in itself. Making it with your own hands is also quite simple, you just need to find it at your dacha site tall tree strong species (oak is most suitable) with a height of lower branches of about 7 m, a height of the base of the crown of 5 m and a trunk diameter of at least a meter. After choosing a tree, you need to carefully consider the drawings in accordance with the individual location of the branches. Often such houses are made of boards, have various configurations, and the entrance to them is provided with the help of attachments or rope ladders, an example can be seen in the photo. Such a structure will become not only a reliable refuge for a child, but also an extraordinary decoration of the dacha.

Construction of the walls of the house

Children's wooden playhouses have such a beautiful and varied design that they will not only become a favorite place for games and pastime of any child, but will also perfectly decorate the garden or yard of any dacha.

Making a plywood house

For small children, you can make a light and simple house with your own hands using ready-made drawings, as in the photo.

For a square building with a wall length of 1.7 meters you will need:

  • Chipboard, 4 sheets with a size of 2 by 1.7 m;
  • timber 2.5 by 2.5 cm long, 35 centimeters each, 8 pieces;
  • timber 2.5 by 2.5 cm, 2.5 meters long for making walls, 13 pieces, 8 of them need to be cut from the top to the corner;
  • boards 5 by 15 cm 2 meters long to strengthen the floor, 4 pieces;
  • boards with a section of 15 by 5 cm, 2 meters long for making the floor surface, 13 pieces;
  • nails, screws, metal angles, hacksaw, hammer and other tools for woodworking.

When all the materials are ready, you can start building the house with your own hands.

First, using a rope and stakes, you need to measure out a 2 by 2 meter area, carefully level it, clear it of stones and debris, and compact it. Next, in the corners of the square, you need to dig holes with a diameter of about 20 centimeters, into which you firmly dig corner supports so that 15 cm of timber remains on the surface. In the same way, additional supports are dug in in the middle of each side. Next, using a level, the places for attaching the floor boards are determined; here you need to be careful to avoid distortions. These 4 boards are nailed to the support bars in the form of a box, which then needs to be hammered on top with floor boards - and the flooring is ready.

Ready-made wooden house

Next, you can proceed to the construction of walls; for this, take a sheet of chipboard and two pointed bars of 2.5 meters each, they are nailed to the long sides of the sheet so that the smooth edge is flush with the sheet, and the pointed one protrudes. All four walls are made this way, but windows should be cut out in two, and a doorway in the third. After this, the resulting walls are driven into the ground with a hammer close to wooden box and are connected to each other using corners and screws to avoid the appearance of cracks.

When the walls are ready, you can safely begin building the roof. To do this, you need to take two beams and cut out their corners at an angle of 45 degrees; if desired, the angle of the roof can be increased and a small sloping roof can be made. The two beams should be fastened together using a metal angle and screws. The second triangle for the roof is made in the same way. After this, the triangle should be attached to the front wall of the building and the corners in which the roof will be attached should be marked on the beam; they should be cut out with a hacksaw. Do the same with the opposite wall. Next, the triangles are connected to each other using cross beam and are attached to the building using angles and screws. To cover the roof, metal tiles, laminate, slate or even plywood are suitable - whatever you have on hand or like best. Features of roof construction are shown in the photo.

All that remains is to paint the plywood with colors of your choice - and the house is ready. As you can see, making a children's house out of plywood with your own hands in a garden or dacha is a simple and short-lived task.

Almost all adults in childhood built small buildings that resembled a house. For children this is perfect place, where they can play, relax and do interesting things. Of course, you can make a hut from branches or a structure from cardboard, but the service life of such products is very short. Therefore, it is better to build a high-quality children's house with your own hands for a long time than to constantly build dilapidated buildings.

A little about the wooden house

For building a house for children with their own hands they often choose wood materials. From an environmental point of view, it is safe. Although the material, unlike stone, is characterized by less durability, a wooden house will last at least several years, and if you use a special impregnation, the service life will increase significantly. Preference is given coniferous species trees. They're not just environmentally friendly, but also have a positive effect on health. A house for a child is necessary because in such a place he can develop and feel independent.

The main task of parents is to make a children's house with their own hands without a lot of money, safe and aesthetically pleasing, so that it fits into the interior of their summer cottage. In addition, the building can be used as a warehouse and equipment can be stored there, however, if the dimensions of the house allow this, and the garden supplies will not destroy the building.

Initially, you should think over a work plan and make a drawing. You need to know in advance what style and size the house will have and choose the material for construction. To draw up a plan, you must adhere to the following points:

  • decide on the type of building - closed or open type;
  • select a zone for construction country yard- will the building be on a tree or on the ground;
  • choose a material that won’t hurt your pocket, but it’s also important not to go cheap;
  • will there be doors and windows, and what material will they be made of;
  • will other objects be built that will be attached to the main house, for example: stairs, fencing, slide and sandbox;
  • which roof covering applied to the roof;
  • choose the paint colors in which the building will be painted;
  • decide on the interior decoration.

There are many options on how to build a mini country house with your own hands. Mostly parents prefer the following ideas:

  • forest hut on a tree;
  • nomadic yurt;
  • Hobbit House;
  • Indian wigwam;
  • house in the shape of a pirate frigate;
  • Robinson's hut;
  • antique mini castle.

In fact, you can come up with a huge variety of ideas. But if family budget does not allow such a dream to come true, then as budget option a house made of fabric or a hut made of branches is selected.

Small country house with your own hands can be made with a tent or hip roof, have more than 3 windows, a second floor equipped with a balcony and a porch. But according to the standard, the plan looks like this:

After creating a working plan and choosing a building style, it is recommended to make a drawing and sketch (sketch of the house). If you don’t want to do such work, then ready-made drawings can be found on the Internet.

After planning and creating drawings with estimates, you should purchase materials and tools for the job. So, what supplies will you need to build a mini house:

Step-by-step construction of a mini-cottage

So, the work plan has been thought out, materials and tools have been purchased, a drawing has been drawn up, a site for construction has been selected, which means we should get to work. Typically, professionals build such mini buildings in a few days. If you have no experience in such matters, then you should not rush and speed up the work. It is important to make the house not only reliable and durable, but also smooth and beautiful.

You must understand that this is not a large-sized cottage of 150 square meters. m., but a small children's building that does not require a reinforced foundation. It is enough to dig a 60 cm deep ditch along the perimeter of the future building and lay a foundation of brick or cinder block. It is also possible to use wooden supports, but they will quickly rot. Therefore, a stone base is the ideal solution.

However, if for some reason it is difficult to purchase a cinder block or brick, then it is recommended to use rubble or wild stone. The material can be found anywhere. But in this case it will be necessary concrete mortar and pouring the foundation. However, it is cheaper.

Installed on top of the base wooden frame from beams. The structure is secured to the foundation using anchors. It is important to first lay a layer of roofing felt under the wooden frame - this prevents moisture from getting on the tree.

Construction of a wooden frame

The frame is assembled from beams, which are attached to the frame on the foundation. 4 vertical posts are installed and fixed with metal corners with holes for self-tapping screws. 4 bars are mounted on top of the supports. The design will be in the form of a box. In the window and door openings, two beams are placed in a vertical position. Jumpers are installed between them.

To make the frame rigid, beams are installed diagonally on all sides of the future house. From corner to corner. The beams are secured by metal plates or corners that are screwed with self-tapping screws. The frame is sheathed either with MDF sheets or boards. Only window and door openings are left.

Floor installation

The floor is installed according to the standard scheme - on logs. Logs are attached to the timber frame with a certain pitch, for example, 40 cm. Boards or plywood sheets. The flooring is secured with self-tapping screws.

After the work has been done it is necessary sand the floor. It’s better to do it right away than to breathe wood dust in a cramped room. Coarse-grained and fine-grained are used sandpaper. It is not recommended to sand the floor surface without a respirator.

Making a roof begins with a frame. The bars are taken and installed in a triangular shape. A ridge beam is laid on top of the rafters, which will connect the entire structure. For additional rigidity, jumpers are installed. Here, metal corners and plates are also used to strengthen the structure. It is recommended to make the frame to the point where it becomes motionless when trying to stagger.

So, the roof skeleton is ready. Now we need to build the gables using boards or MDF sheets. Next the sides of the roof are sheathed. Next, a waterproofing film is installed on the roof surface. Then metal tiles or ondulin are installed. It is important that the roof slopes protrude beyond the walls by 15 cm.

Then the fillies are made and screwed to the rafters. Next, boards are screwed onto the frame to form a box. The structure is then covered with siding.

The building should reflect the real house as much as possible, so it is necessary to make a minimum of furniture. The first step is to impregnate the wood with special agents against rotting and beetles. After which the inside of the room should be varnished.

After processing, it is necessary to build furniture, for example: a chair, table, bed, etc. Only furniture should be minimum sizes to match the mini house. Instead of making mini furniture, you can buy the same one, only plastic. It is enough to go to a children's goods store and find the accessories you are interested in.

Manufacturing of windows and doors

In this final step, the windows and doors are installed. To make doors, you should draw a sheet of MDF along the right size and saw off the product electric jigsaw. A handle is attached to the door, installed in the opening and fixed evenly using wedges. Next they attach door hinges. After which the latch is installed.

Windows are installed using a slightly different technology. Two openings are equipped with cross-shaped lintels. You can also install glass there, but it is not recommended, since it is a breakable material that can harm a child. It is preferable to use polycarbonate. This material is mainly used for greenhouses. It is durable and flexible. It also transmits light. Pieces are cut to the size of the opening and screwed with self-tapping screws.

There are some nuances that need to be taken into account. They affect the safety of the child in the house. To keep the premises safe, it is recommended to adhere to the following rules:

  1. The site for the construction of a mini-house should not be embossed or contain driftwood or similar objects that can cause injury. If a tree is chosen for a house, it must be reliable and strong.
  2. After processing the wood, an inspection is carried out to identify defects. Because it is necessary to prevent the entry of splinters.
  3. The screws are screwed tightly so that the caps do not peek out, otherwise you can get hurt by them.
  4. By attempting to shake the structure, its strength is tested. If it wobbles, then additional reinforcement of the structure should be done, otherwise destruction from the wind or for another reason may occur.
  5. The sharp corners of the metal tiles should be hidden, as the child may cut himself.

Mini cottage on a tree

This construction option is more complex than a regular house on the ground. In this case, the object is placed on a tree, or more precisely, on a branch. Otherwise, the technology is almost identical to the first option. The construction of a mini cottage on a tree consists of step-by-step actions:

  1. For such purposes, hardwood trees are selected. But soft species, for example, walnut, are not suitable because they do not have a dense enough structure. Therefore, there is a risk of branch fracture. They also choose not old trees that have dried up or are about to dry out. They begin to rot, turning into dust. This is dangerous, because the tree can fall at any moment.
  2. This step involves working out the idea for the house, and then creating a plan and drawing.
  3. It is not advisable to install a building on a tree. It's easier to make the structure on the ground. The remaining fastening work is carried out on wood. The platform on which the mini-house for children will stand should be strengthened as much as possible. Each tree has its own individual uniform, therefore, supports and other reinforcing structures are made according to circumstances.
  4. At this step, the ladder is installed. The structure is also assembled on the ground and then attached to a tree trunk. Be sure to tie a rope next to the stairs to ensure a safe descent.

True, it is safer to choose the option where the house is on the ground. After all, children risk falling from a height of 3 meters, which can result in serious injury. However, as you can see, building a house for children out of wood with your own hands is very simple.
