A mounting box should be placed in the recess for installing the thermostat. If for its operation the voltage is supplied not from batteries, but from a 220V network, then you will have to connect the appropriate wires to it.

The second stage of our work is the installation of a heated floor sensor. It is carried out as follows. We take the sensor and place it in the corrugated pipe that comes with the floor.

Place the device in the pipe

In this case, we place the device near the end of the tube. On the other side there will be a connecting wire coming out.

The first end of the pipe must be tightly sealed to prevent cement mortar from getting into it.

You can do this in the following ways:

  • wrap with electrical tape;
  • flatten with pliers and attach to the floor using a self-tapping screw;
  • use heat shrink tubing and a hair dryer.

After this, we continue installing the heated floor sensor. I put the phone down on the floor. Moreover, we do this in such a way that the radius of its bend is at least 5 cm. The distance from the wall to the place where the sensor is located should be 50-60 cm.

Maintain the required distance

The device should be placed in the tube so that it is freely located there.

This will allow you to easily replace it if necessary.

After this, using mounting tape we secure the tube between the turns of the cable. We place it so that it is at an equidistant distance from the turns of the wire.

We place the second end of the corrugated pipe in a pre-prepared channel and bring it out into the thermostat installation box. Then, the groove with corrugation can be covered with cement mortar.

Insert the tube into the mounting block

Now you need to connect the cable and sensor leads to the thermostat. The instructions included with the kit will tell you how to do this correctly.

Typically it looks like this:

  • a temperature sensor is connected to terminals No. 1 and No. 2;
  • the heating cable leads are connected to connectors No. 3 and No. 4;
  • terminals No. 5 and No. 6 are used to connect home electrical wiring wires.

Upon completion of the above work, it is necessary to check the entire system for operability. To do this, turn it on for about 1 minute. If everything is in order and connected correctly, the LED on the thermostat will light up and the heating cable will become warm.

The power can now be turned off. Installation is complete. After it, you should do the filling yourself cement-sand screed. After 28 days you can start using the underfloor heating system.

Brown and blue wires are conductive. The brown wire has voltage (phase), the blue wire has zero. The green color indicates the ground wire. The brown, blue and green wires are connected to sockets 3, 4, and 5 respectively.
