Decorating the facade of the house with wood options. Cladding the facades of houses with wood. Finishing the facade of the house: wooden siding

Firstly, to begin with, you need to figure out why do something with the facade wooden house? After all, wood itself is a material that looks beautiful without additional manipulations with it. But the whole point is that finishing the facade of a wooden house is also necessary in order to preserve this beauty for as long as possible and emphasize it.

What is the reason for popularity

Tree - natural material, which in in kind and burns well and rots relatively quickly. At some point in time, it seemed that concrete and brick had replaced wood from the construction market. As it turned out, nothing of the kind. Wooden houses are incredibly popular nowadays. Why? It's simple:

  • Of course, the material is environmentally friendly.
  • Possibility to build a house on soft ground.
  • Wood has low thermal conductivity, which makes the house warm. Hence - profitability.
  • Aesthetics of the building.
  • Possibility of combination with other building materials.

The construction of a wooden house will cost several times less than a brick one, and subsequently the costs of its operation will be quite reasonable.

Let's take a closer look at how to decorate the facade of a wooden house.

Options for finishing the facade of a wooden house

Before starting any of the options finishing works, the surface must be prepared: treated with antiseptics that prevent the appearance of mold and the eating of wood by bugs, fire retardants, and only then begin the main stage of work.

The facade of a wooden house can be finished in several ways.

Treat with special protective impregnation, stain. They come in both colorless and colored. Treating the facade in this way will not only protect the wood from rotting, but will also emphasize its structure, allowing you to preserve the uniqueness of the building. Just keep in mind that if two layers of facade paint are enough, then twice as much impregnation will be needed - it is applied in three or even four layers.

Plaster. Modern options plasters allow not only to obtain a high-quality plastered surface of any color, but also of any texture. To achieve the latter, use decorative facade plasters. There are plasters with quartz or marble inclusions, due to which the treated wall acquires a shimmering effect. In order for the solution to lie flat and adhere well, it is necessary to carry out the correct preparatory work.

Paint it. wooden facades produced with at least three types of paints: paint on oil based, water-based paint and alkyd resin paint. By using color combinations on different parts of the façade of a house, you can make it bright and stand out from the crowd of buildings of the same type. Deciding to use it for façade finishing paints and varnishes, remember that in this case the facade will need updating in a few years, therefore, do not paint the house in colors that will be difficult to find later. Another important point is to make sure that the packaging indicates that the paint is intended for outdoor use: if you facade paint use for interior decoration- there will be no harm, but on the contrary - a waste of time and money. Regular paint For interior works does not have the necessary weather resistance and hiding power.

Before starting work, remove traces of possible fungal deposits and dust. If repainting is being done, the old paint layer must be carefully removed. For this purpose, you can use existing special washes, or you can do this with a regular scraper or with a drill using appropriate attachments. One more important point is the choice of tool. Thus, to work with water-based paints, you should use a brush or roller made of synthetics, and for paints based on organic additives, a brush made of natural material. You should not use a spray gun for wooden facades, because this material has uneven surface, which means there may be unpainted areas that still have to be covered with a brush. If a sealant is used to fill cracks, make sure that the packaging indicates that the sealant can be painted. Fortunately, today on the shelves construction stores you can find not only imported paints, but also quite good ones Russian production impregnating materials and paints.

Use materials for facades, which are also called “curtain”, for the fact that they are attached to the wall different ways. Such facades are also called ventilated. Many craftsmen prefer this method of finishing, explaining their choice by the fact that wooden house, the walls of which are sheathed rather than painted, are in better conditions, in the sense that they are completely protected from weather changes and moisture. Such “mounted” methods include: cladding with artificial stone or even natural stone (which will be many times more expensive), finishing with siding, facing bricks, etc. A fairly new, but increasingly popular, method of finishing facades is covering it with block house panels. This material is conquering the market because it is available in versions for both eurolining and solid timber.

Siding panels for this type of facade will not only give the house a more urban European appearance, but will also create additional protection. The advantages of using siding include the fact that after its installation you will not need additional work, such as painting. Siding cladding refers to the so-called ventilated facades. There is a gap between the house and the installed material and the house thus “breathes”. But, using such methods of finishing the facade, it is necessary to take into account the condition of the foundation, since an additional load will fall on it.

The listed options for finishing the facade of a wooden house are not the only ones. It's also possible combining some materials with each other, which will play in a new way appearance building, will create an exterior that will undoubtedly attract envious glances. Until now, neither professionals nor home owners have come to a definite opinion - what type of finishing of the wooden facade of a house is better: “wet” (painting, plastering) or “hinged” (by using various types wall panels, facing bricks). Therefore, it is more a matter of personal preferences and financial capabilities.

To work with mounted types of finishing, you may need the help of qualified craftsmen, since this work also involves the use special technologies, And scaffolding. Therefore, companies that sell any of the curtain facades also have specialists on staff who install them.

Below I will share my experience - I will tell you what facade options I considered and list the prices, pros and cons of each type of facade.

I write about them below in the article.

Criterias of choice

Basic criteria for choosing a facade for a house

  • Strength
  • Maintainability
  • Appearance
  • Performance characteristics
  • Facade color. The choice of color is a different story, I already wrote about it,

Facade options

Here is a list of facades that are on the market. I’ll briefly describe each façade so that you have an understanding of what’s crap and what’s candy.

I built my house from scratch, however, if you have a wooden house for restoration, then the listed materials will also suit you.

Imitation timber / block house

A block house is beautiful at first glance, seemingly reliable, but in reality it is not at all so. It suffers ungodly every season, it cracks and needs constant care. You’ll be happy for a year, then you’ll only receive negative emotions from such a facade.

Here are its advantages:

  • Environmental friendliness.
For normal operation, the block house is coated with impregnation so that it is not eaten by bugs, insects and other creatures. If animals shy away from a tree, then what kind of ecology can we talk about? I question this plus factor.
  • Reliability and durability.
The material should have a moisture content of about 15 percent. If this condition is met, then you can believe that there is a chance that the material will not warp, its integrity will not be compromised, and it will be resistant to mechanical stress. But almost always it cracks on the facades and then doesn’t look so reliable and aesthetically pleasing.
  • Light weight.
Examples of how much a block house weighs

  • Aesthetics.
No questions here. To be objective, imitation timber creates the effect of a log house.
  • You need to buy expensive varnishes, stains, antiseptics and mastics for protection every 3-4 years. After all the layers of processing, perhaps, you can forget about environmental friendliness. Plus, you need to pay for the work of the craftsmen again. And in extreme climates you will have to do this procedure often.
  • Low vapor permeability. Condensation will accumulate under the façade finishing due to temperature changes and other things.
  • The high price, I will talk about it later.
  • Keeps the fire going. A controversial point, since almost all the finishing burns, even the brick! But still, in my opinion this is a minus.

Material price :

the cost of a house block for the facade of a wooden house varies from 500 to 800 rubles per m2.

As for the prices for work, the amount here is approximately 500 RUR m2. + painting 300 RUR m2
If you need a wide block house that looks much more beautiful (width 180 mm), then its price starts from 1200 m2

price of 1 m2 house block or imitation timber with work - 1500 RUR

That is why I immediately abandoned this option. Below are approximate prices for work:

  • Installation of lathing about 170 r/m 2 ..
  • Installation of a block house costs about 400 rubles/m2.
  • Installation of corners, fillets and plinths 100 r/l.m.
  • Painting in one layer - 300 r/m 2.
  • Treating the sheathing with an antiseptic – 80 r/m.p.

It turns out pretty good. And one more thing. Some companies deliberately deceive and write a price of 400 rubles/m2. At the same time they leave everything out related work. As a result, one square meter of work will cost you approximately 1100 rubles , here add the installation of the corner and painting of the sheathing. And if you bought a house block that was not very cheap (on average 600 rubles), then together with installation the square meter will be about 2 thousand rubles per m 2 . Draw your own conclusion, but my opinion is that it’s not worth it!!

If you are devoted to wood and want to clad your wooden house with a house block, then pay attention to following points: wood type (preferably pine, larch and spruce), material class, geometricity.

Metal siding

It seems to be good, but its resistance to vandalism is not good. It is suitable only in places where its possible damage is excluded.

Example from life

You rested, drank, your neighbor or friend rested his hand on the wall or, even worse, his shoulder, that’s it, the end of the facade. To change one panel you will have to dismantle the entire wall.

The thickness of the metal siding is 0.4 mm. There is a reinforced one with polyurethane foam inside, but it costs 2.5 times more than an ordinary one.

Advantages metal siding

  • Long service life. The manufacturer claims that this facade decoration will last more than 50 years.
  • Wide range of shapes, colors and sizes. It is impossible to disagree with this. In fact, metal siding perfectly imitates different materials and gives the exterior of the building a special look.
  • It is widely believed that everyone will install it House master. I doubt that this is so (if you look into it, there is a whole mountain of nuances), but let it be a plus.
  • The metal used copes with high and low temperatures. Well, I don’t quite agree here, I’ll further express my opinion.
  • Easy to clean from any dirt. This component is really cool. Just connect the hose and wash away the dirt.
  • Does not support combustion

Flaws:

  • 3 times more expensive than plastic.
  • Metal siding is thin. When there is gusty wind, it may buzz.
  • Noise when it rains. No matter how you soundproof a wall, in heavy rain and hurricane winds, you will feel like you are in tin can. This is a huge minus!
  • Thermal conductivity. This is also a big minus, since in hot weather the metal gets terribly hot, I would say it gets hot. The opposite can be said for winter. The metal shell, although beautiful, is worthless in this regard.
  • Very gentle during transportation and installation. They have a protective film on them, but it won't help if you run a nail across the sheet. Of course, no one will do this on purpose, but during transportation it is quite possible to damage it. Because of this, metal corrosion can increase. That is why I immediately ruled out this option for wall cladding.
  • Tightening the screws. Everything seems fine, but imagine how many holes there will be in the lining. And let them keep saying that there are thermal washers and so on. After a while they will dry out, and your facade will let water through. The worst thing is if corrosion starts.

With a relatively low price, I described this material as a good option if you don’t like anything else

Price metal siding fluctuates from 600 to 800 rubles per m 2. For example, the most expensive one has a strip thickness of 0.5 mm, and the cheapest one is 0.4 mm. The difference is small, but it seems like the coating is of different quality. In my opinion, this is not an option at all. As for the cost of work, here's what it is:

Price 1m2 of metal siding with work - 1100 rubles

Plastic siding

Essentially the same material as metal. But unlike metal, after 2-3 years, in some places it completely loses its geometry. But the biggest disadvantage of plastic siding is its contamination. You can wash it at least every week with a Karcher, the pores will still get clogged and over time your façade will look terrible.

  • Doesn't rot. Tolerates humid environments well.
  • Relatively long service life
  • Copes with a wide temperature range from -50°C to +50°C.
  • Does not support combustion. Again a controversial point. If the house is engulfed in flames, then the siding, if it doesn’t burn, will melt, and what’s the point if wooden structure will burn in flames.
  • The price corresponds to the quality.
  • Does not emit harmful substances into the air.
  • quick installation, no doubt about it!
  • Large range of designs and shades.
  • Possibility of insulation under siding. For example, polystyrene foam or other thermal insulation.
  • Easy to maintain. Water jet and façade new first 15-20 cycles, then it’s difficult to wash off.

Now about the cons:

  • Low mechanical strength. It is very easy to make a hole when hit with a heavy object. I know this for sure, I checked it personally! As a result, you will have to dismantle almost half the wall to replace the broken section.
  • It is impossible to replace one element; the entire cladding is connected by locks.
  • You need to bother with temperature gaps, since when the temperature fluctuates, the plastic changes its size. If there are no temperature gaps, the siding trim will simply swell.
  • Be sure to wash, although over time it will still become unusable

My personal opinion is that this type of facade is suitable for a barn, utility room, or for a house in SNT.

Plastic siding is priced per piece, not per square meter. But we need the price of 1 m2 of plastic siding is 400-500 rubles! You can find more expensive ones. And here you need to add all sorts of corners, connectors, and other components, without which installation is impossible. With such disadvantages, it turns out to be quite expensive:

  • starting profile from 1100 rub.
  • wind bar from 1200 rub.
  • soffit with perforation from 3600 rub.

If speak about cost for work , it also doesn’t come out cheap. In general, it can run up to 500 rubles per m2, or even more, highlighted in red:

And the price may also include installation of all kinds of planks. My personal opinion is a very weak option.

Important!
Price 1 M2 of plastic siding with work - 1000 rubles

Thermal panels

The material is quite expensive - 1500 rub per m2, get ready for serious financial costs. Add to this the preparation of the wall, installation work, and as a result the price tag will be higher 3000 rubles per m2.

  • Environmentally friendly material.
  • Can be attached not only to frame house, but also to other designs.
  • In addition to finishing, the facade is also insulated.
  • Work can be carried out at any time of the year.
  • Wide range of colors to choose from.
  • Cladding the facade with thermal panels will save up to 40% on heating.
  • Quick installation. And this is important, because you will have to spend a minimum of money to pay for the rental of scaffolding and other things.
  • Cracking of the facade is excluded. But!! if the house shrinks, cracks will appear, I checked this on other facades.
  • Durable material. As stated by the manufacturer, about 50 years, and some even 100 years.
  • Color fastness to fading.
  • Does not corrode or rot. Does not spread fungi and other infections.
  • The cladding is done with a brick or other type of texture
  • Durable material and diffusion open. That is, during installation, the cold bridge is completely eliminated, unless the master has crooked hands!

There are also disadvantages:

  • The wall must be flat.
  • High cost of finishing 1000 rub/m2.
  • If there is no ventilation gap between the finish and the wall, condensation may form.

Very cool solution. The high price is fully compensated by the high quality!

There aren’t many downsides here, so I give this finish a high rating. Price from 1250 to 2000 rubles per m2 . There are varieties based on the base. But my personal opinion is that the price is quite adequate in terms of technical characteristics. But keep in mind that you still need to purchase material to make the frame. As for prices, there is a whole puzzle here:

Price 1 m2 Thermal panels with work - 2200 rubles

Helpful advice!

Be careful, because some of the work is considered per linear meter, and some is considered per m 2 . In principle, the price is quite normal, but again, you can search different variants. My rating for this finish is above average. But I won't call it ideal.

Panels with clinker tiles

  • Abrasion resistance.
  • Stable color.
  • Does not breed bacteria.
  • The finish is UV resistant.
  • Easy to maintain.
  • Easy to install.
  • Durability.
  • Additional thermal insulation.

But there are also disadvantages:

  • High cost overrun, since the panels are mounted in a groove.
The craftsmen do not spare their own, there may be an overconsumption of material. I have personally encountered workers who do not value the material they purchased.
  • High price 3000 rub. With such fragility, it turns out very cool.

It looks nice, but there are doubts about the quality. You need to be very careful not only during installation, but also during operation.

Cost of panels with clinker tiles from 300 to 3000 rub.

Wet facade (plaster)

This technology is not often used for frames, since it is necessary to prepare a flat, solid base plus create a ventilation gap. The base is made of polystyrene foam and it does not carry thermal protection; plaster is made on top of it. Below I will describe the greenboard facade technology, and its advantages with the same appearance will be obvious.

Pros:

  • The ability to give a unique appearance to your home in terms of design style and color.

About the cons:

  • requires a flat, solid base
  • Compliance temperature regime. The manufacturer specifies temperature recommendations for the use of adhesive and plaster compositions from -5 to +50°C. If it is very cold, the mixture will dry unevenly. In short, it is better to do the work in the warm spring or autumn, when it is neither hot nor cold.
  • Air humidity.
This is a complete mess. If the air humidity is more than 70%, the glue will not be able to dry evenly. Apply only in dry sunny weather.
  • During installation, straight lines are not allowed. Sun rays.
Otherwise the liquid in plaster mixture will evaporate very quickly. I chose such material to exclude all these points.
  • A damp layer of plaster very easily absorbs dust and dirt. While the facade is drying, it may become dirty. Again, a big minus.

Must be organized ventilation gap. Otherwise everything will crack and fall off!

The price gives the following picture:

cost of material for base, plastering, tinting or painting (all materials) - 1900 RUR m2

The prices for the work are also not weak:

The price of work on a wet facade is 1800 rubles and this is without the finishing layer, there may be decorative rock or something else. My opinion is that it is very expensive, despite what is available serious shortcomings. I didn't even consider it for my home.

Important! Price 1 m2 wet facade with work 3800 rub.

Fiber cement panels/siding

I considered them as an option for myself. I even found companies that were willing to give a 15% discount.

  • The finishing of the external facade will not burn.
  • The installation process is accelerated by large size panels 3 m by 20 cm (almost the size of siding).
  • great appearance. The surface originally imitates wood, stone, brick, etc.
  • The façade is self-cleaning.
  • The color does not fade over time.
  • Very strong.
  • Relatively simple installation. I would install it myself.
  • Average price for material.
  • The long service life is about 20 years, but there were finishes with better performance.
  • Low temperature resistance.
  • Big choice color shades and variations.
  • The dyes used are resistant to UV rays.

The disadvantages here are relative:

  • Due to moisture, deformation reaches up to 2%. Most often linear expansion.
  • Not cheap.

My personal opinion is a good finishing option. For your money, the quality is completely worth it.

In principle, the finish is quite acceptable. Fiber cement siding prices fluctuate from 1000 to 1200 rubles per m 2.

Prices for work:

Installation of fiber cement panels costs approximately 700-800 rub.

The price of 1 m2 of fiber cement boards with work is 2000 rubles

Facade flexible tiles TechnoNIKOL

Relatively original solution. Advantages:

  • The pigments used for painting the cladding are resistant to fading under the influence of UV rays.
  • Relatively simple installation, the main thing is to have a flat base.
  • Tightness.
  • Possibility of finishing facades of complex shapes.
  • Resistant to temperature changes.
  • Beautiful appearance.
  • High resistance to damage.

Here are the disadvantages:

  • Short service life, my personal opinion is very bad for this expensive facade finishing.
  • Material is flammable.
  • When ignited, it releases toxins.

Herself tiles cost about 400 rubles per m2 . But you still need to buy two-component glue, window casing, outer/inner corner, etc. Therefore, the price will increase in any way..

Technology using a sheet of wood concrete (Greenboard) allows you to give the house a more brutal or solid look, so much so that it will not be easy to understand that it is a frame without opening it.
The trick of this technology is that the material (GB) performs several tasks at once,

As a result, it turns out that the end result is not expensive, and the possibilities for final finishing allow the house to look much more expensive than what was actually spent WITHOUT compromising technical performance.

For sheathing, a sheet of D600 is used (density like a block) with a thickness of 25 mm and is laid horizontally in 2 layers with the joints glued with foam-adhesive (TN) on a thickened screw 5x60 and 5x90, respectively, to the layers. Cost square meter it comes out to about 600 rubles based on the material. You received a 5cm strong wood concrete slab on the facade that works as cross insulation.

Further, according to the Ceresit system, CT190 glue and mesh are used for rough leveling - 1 50-200r per m2

Next are two options - budget and richer.

Richer (beautiful view)

A budget option

This is finishing putty (Starateli), primer with crumbs and painting according to the material - it turns out 100-150r m2.
Having created an inexpensive plaster facade, you can decorate it with decorative elements of your choice (boards (framework), stucco molding or stones) to give your home a unique and individual look.

Never look at how and what your neighbor made the façade from. I advise you to delve into everything yourself, because everywhere they want to deceive you / make money and few people think about what will happen in the end result.

If you want to do it once and for a long time, then you will have to spend your time first of all, and at the same time control every stage of the work.

Inexpensive and practical finish The facade of a wooden house will allow you to tidy up an old home or create an interesting exterior for a newly built building.

Wooden houses have become very popular again, as this is one of the few ways to create environmentally friendly housing. At the same time, the tree provides good thermal insulation premises, interesting appearance. However, not everyone is ready for what will be represented by ordinary logs.

Also, do not forget that some people received a wooden house (inherited or bought), which was already built quite a long time ago, and the tree has already lost its appearance.

A similar phenomenon can often be encountered: without proper processing and care, wood quickly loses its attractive appearance, but at the same time its strength and other functional qualities remain at an acceptable level.

In this case, you need to take care of organizing an attractive facade. The facade of a wooden house can hide all these unpleasant consequences aging of wood, as well as protect it from the effects of negative factors.

Types of materials used

Cladding the facade of a wooden house can be done using the following materials and technologies:

  1. Curtain façade.
  2. Plaster.
  3. Panels with thermal insulation and clinker tiles.
  4. Siding.
  5. Facade brick.

When choosing a material, you can be guided by your own preferences, cost or other qualities. If wooden walls are still strong, then everything else is not particularly important.

For a new house built of wood, it is worth noting that if you do not carry out this work, then in the future this work will cost much more: you will have to eliminate the consequences of wood wear due to exposure to the sun and other negative factors.

In addition, the tree will lose its attractiveness. Finishing the facade of a wooden house can be done independently or by specialists. It all depends on what material was chosen.

Using siding

Siding is ideal for facade finishing. It can be made of PVC or vinyl. At the same time, you can create what is needed to maintain the wood in good condition (constant ventilation helps prevent the appearance of mold and dampness).

The positive qualities of using this material include the following:

  • The use of this finishing method does not increase the load on the facade. The material is light in weight.
  • You can carry out the work yourself and in a fairly short period of time.
  • The cost of the material, relative to other options, is low. The cost of the material in most cases depends on the appetite of the manufacturer, since everyone uses the same base when making siding.

Facade decoration wooden houses with help of this material allows you to create complete ventilation of wood.

At the same time, thermal insulation can be improved by using special materials - insulation - foam plastic or mineral wool. Thermal insulation materials create an additional layer under the siding.

Using plaster

Despite the fact that it is rarely used to create facades of wooden houses, this finishing option also has large quantity positive qualities, suitable for use in finishing private housing.

Using this material you can protect wood from exposure environment, as well as improve waterproofing and significantly insulate the house.

It is better to use plaster for cladding a timber or frame wooden house, since the plaster will not adhere securely to the logs. But getting a flat surface for log walls will be quite difficult.

Curtain facade made of metal, vinyl or porcelain stoneware

Great opportunities for updating an old house and decorating the walls of a new home are created by hanging options for finishing the facade. With help this method you can create wooden houses.

This finishing method received a similar name due to the fact that finishing the facade of a wooden house involves creating hanging structure. Dignity curtain façade is that when creating the basis for finishing, all known finishing materials can be used.

The façade of a wooden house can be finished using the following types of finishing materials:

  1. allow you to get very unusual option. However, do not forget that this material is susceptible to environmental influences.
  2. The design of the facade of a wooden house can be organized using a composite finishing material.
  3. Plastic is often used for decoration.
  4. Porcelain tiles are the most expensive option.

Panels can have different shapes and sizes, and their cost varies from the smallest to vinyl siding up to simply cosmic for composite panels DPK.

Facade brick as finishing

Often, facade brick is used as a finishing material, which is made specifically for such work. It is durable and allows you to significantly increase the thermal insulation of your home.

In addition, do not forget that it is very large. The only significant disadvantages of this material are the following:

  1. Increase in the total load on the foundation. Despite the fact that this type of brick is somewhat lighter than usual, its use significantly increases the load on the base.
  2. Its high cost and the complexity of the work increase the cost of cladding external walls.
  3. The complexity of the work leads to longer completion times and also requires the hiring of skilled labor.

When deciding how to decorate the facade of a wooden house, you should first of all pay attention to next option, which is often used to update the walls of an old house.

Thermal panels with imitation clinker tiles

Thermal panels with clinker tiles can be called modern material, which can be used to decorate not only a wooden house, but also a structure built from any other building material.

  • In appearance, the material is a hewn log, treated with an antiseptic and varnish, sawn in half.
  • The flat side of such a false log is attached to the facade of the house. The sides have groove-tenons (a special connection between each other), which allows you to assemble a solid wall into a monolith quickly, without labor-intensive adjustment.
  • The color is selected upon request individually. Unique light material replacing any area damaged due to unusual situations.
  • At independent work There are no difficulties with the block house.

You just have to remember that the nails and screws that need to be used to secure the cladding must have anti-corrosion treatment.

  • The mounting hole is punched at the joint at a slight angle.
  • For thick panels, a self-tapping screw is screwed in next to the tenon, the second - not far from the groove (on the opposite side).

At the finish, the hole must be closed with a plug that matches the color of the panels.

Siding finishing

Economical finishing of the facade with wood, recognized by many modern craftsmen - finishing with siding.

This material is made of wood different breeds trees in the form of a standard profile product, defined linear meters different sizes.

It has only two types:

  1. The molded profile consists of several parts connected by a toothed tenon.
  2. A profile made from a whole wooden board.

  • The frame is attached to the wall (concrete or brick) with self-tapping screws in a vertical position. To do this, take a board: at least 20 mm thick, 100 mm wide, spaced half a meter apart.
  • The bottom board is installed first.
  • The top part of the siding is attached with a fastening element.
  • The next strip should cover the entry points of the screws.
  • In this way, move all the way to the top.

There is no need to lath a wooden wall. Siding can be attached directly to the wall.

Depending on the climate, between the wall and the covering is laid OSB board. It resists moisture due to special impregnation of wood with glue and paraffin emulsion. She doesn't care about atmospheric crises.
