Then we measure another 8 cm from it towards the lighthouse, this will be the mark along which the lid of the container should be marked. We add 8 cm so that the container is deeper, can hold more coals, and the meat does not burn at a low height.

After this, you can take a grinder and cut out that part of the cylinder body, which will now turn into a kind of barbecue lid. At the same time, it is worth paying attention that you need to cut not along the seam itself, but next to the existing seam, otherwise you can damage the inner steel ring that holds the structure together. The edge of the ring will be necessary to keep the lid hanging, that is, so that it does not fall inside the grill.
