How to make a simpler slime without PVA. How to make slime at home without glue or with it. Stages of making a toy from flour

Do you know who ghost hunters are? If not, we highly recommend watching the cartoon of the same name, which was incredibly popular in the mid-90s. What was especially memorable about this cartoon was the funny logo, the catchy intro melody and two otherworldly characters – the ghosts Boogeyman and Lizun. We won’t touch the boogeyman today, but let’s try to figure out how to make slime at home.

The legendary animated series “Ghostbusters” was released in the mid-90s and immediately gained wild popularity. At the same time, a stream of simple toys poured onto Russian shelves, named after one of the heroes - the scary, but kind and terribly charming ghost Lizun. This green miracle ate everything and everywhere left a liquid, slippery trail, into which everyone around them endlessly fell into.

The slime toy is very similar to its cartoon prototype; in fact, it is a slime, a viscous lump with the properties of a Newtonian fluid, elastic, sticky and stretchy. Mattel began producing this toy back in 1976, but it gained mass popularity precisely after the release of “Hunters.”

The slimes of that time were made from guar gum with the addition of borax powder (in chemical language - sodium tetraborate), mainly had green color and were absolutely safe for children. Unfortunately, we can't say the same about timely toys. The quality of their components raises big questions. Therefore, we suggest you figure out how you can make slime yourself at home.

Basic manufacturing methods

There are a lot of basic and not so simple ways to make slime yourself, at home. The choice of recipe depends on your imagination, the availability of free time and the means at hand.

Plasticine toy

To make handgam from plasticine we will need the following materials:

  • plasticine - about 100 g, any color;
  • – 1 pack;
  • cold and hot water;
  • plastic and metal cups.

The cooking method is quite simple.

  1. Dissolve gelatin in cold water, we use metal utensils for this.
  2. After an hour, place the dishes on the stove to heat until high temperature, but there is no need to bring it to a boil.
  3. Meanwhile in a plastic cup pour hot water, put a piece of plasticine there and stir it thoroughly in the water.
  4. Slowly pour gelatin into the resulting mixture, mix until smooth and put in the refrigerator.
  5. We put it in the refrigerator, wait a couple of hours - and you can play!

This toy is safe and environmentally friendly, but it gets your hands dirty and doesn’t last long.

Starch slime

You can make a toy at home without plasticine. In this recipe we will need corn starch - it will make the toy nicer and more elastic. But if you don’t have corn, you can also use potato. The recipe is quite simple.

The following ingredients are needed:

  • starch;
  • water;
  • food coloring. You can show your imagination - sparkles and even small rhinestones will make the toy simply cosmic.

Combine starch and water in equal proportions, place in the refrigerator, and in a couple of hours your slime is ready! When cooking, you can add a drop of perfume or essential oil- the toy will smell delicious. And if you add a little phosphor paint, the toy can glow in the dark.

The advantages of this method are simplicity, environmental friendliness and the opportunity to show imagination. Disadvantages - again, a very short shelf life, only about a week.

Handgam made from shampoo and glue

This method is more complicated, but the slime turns out to be more similar to its store-bought relative.

We will need:

  • shampoo without adding - 3 tablespoons (50 ml);
  • polymer glue – 3 tablespoons (50 ml);
  • food coloring, sparkles, sequins, rhinestones - optional;
  • plastic container.

The cooking method is as follows.

  1. Pour shampoo into a container, add dye and glitter, mix thoroughly.
  2. Slowly pour in the glue, stirring constantly until the consistency is uniform.
  3. Store the received toy in a dark, dry, cool place.

Instead of polymer glue, you can use PVA, but such a toy has worse stretch and sticks strongly to your hands.

Slime made from PVA, water and sodium tetraborate

If the previous toys can be made at home with the child, then in this method it is better to refuse the child’s presence.

Components:

  • sodium tetraborate (borax solution) – 1/3 teaspoon. Try to purchase a solution of borax in glycerin;
  • PVA glue, preferably in a bottle, 1 pc. Can be replaced with transparent stationery;
  • cold water – 200 ml;
  • food coloring, glitter, etc.

Manufacturing takes place according to a standard scheme.

  1. Mix glue and water in plastic dishes, mix thoroughly.
  2. Add dyes.
  3. Slowly and carefully add sodium tetraborate. The more borax, the “thicker” the slime.

When making slime in this way, be sure to use protective equipment: gloves, an apron, unnecessary clothing. The finished toy should be stored in a closed container, away from air and light. Sodium tetraborate has a big advantage - it is an antiseptic by nature.

Soda slime

Another way to make a toy yourself from simple available materials.

In this recipe we will need:

  • soda – 1 tablespoon;
  • PVA glue – 100 or 200 ml;
  • a glass of cold water;
  • food coloring, rhinestones, glitter, etc.;
  • plastic dishes.

The stages of “production” are as follows.

  1. Dissolve soda in water (1 tablespoon per 1/2 cup).
  2. Mix the glue with the dye until the color is uniform.
  3. Pour soda into the resulting mass.
  4. Mix thoroughly.

We store the toy in the same way as in the previous method - in a dark, dry place.

Toy made from liquid washing powder

This recipe requires liquid washing powder– dry substance or dishwashing detergent will not work.

Ingredients:

  • liquid washing powder - 2 tbsp. spoons;
  • PVA glue – 1/3 tube;
  • dye;
  • plastic dishes.

Mix PVA glue with dye to obtain a homogeneous color mass. Slowly pour in the liquid detergent drop by drop until the desired consistency is achieved. Knead for 5-10 minutes (wear gloves!). Store in a sealed container.

Slime made from sodium tetraborate and alcohol

This recipe also uses sodium tetraborate, but without PVA glue.

We will need:

  • sodium tetraborate (dry borax) – 2 tbsp. spoons (sold at the pharmacy);
  • a glass of cold water;
  • polyvinyl alcohol in powder form (ask at your local hardware store or hardware store"Antimelitel");
  • metal (not plastic!) dishes;
  • dye.

The manufacturing stages are as follows.

  1. Dissolve alcohol in a glass of water.
  2. Place the bowl with this solution on the stove and heat slowly, stirring. Heating time is approximately 40 minutes.
  3. Turn off the heat and let the solution cool to room temperature.
  4. Add borax and stir.
  5. Add dye.

Handgam according to this recipe will be elastic, not unpleasantly sticky and very similar to store-bought.

If you make a toy using any of the above methods and add pieces of metal to it, you will get an amazing magnetic slime.

To avoid crushing an iron part with a file, try to find iron oxide in the store or order a special developer powder from office equipment supply stores.

By mixing the powder with metal particles, we get an unusual magnetic slime that changes shape under the influence of a magnet. And if you add phosphor paint to the toy, the slime will glow in the dark.

Other recipes

The technology for making toys in all recipes is approximately the same.

We have reviewed the most popular and available examples how to make slime at home.

In addition to the above, there are ways to make toys from soda without using glue - from flour and “Fairy”.

How to make slime from "Fairy"?

  • "Fairy" or other dishwashing detergent;
  • soda;
  • moisturizing hand cream;
  • dyes.

Mix half a tablespoon of detergent with a teaspoon of soda, mix thoroughly until smooth, add hand cream and dye. Place the resulting mass to cool for 3-4 hours.

  1. If the slime making process doesn't work out, don't be discouraged. Experiment with the ingredients. To increase viscosity, add more binder; to thin, add water.
  2. Wear gloves.
  3. If your child is still small, do not leave him with the toy unattended - children put everything in their mouth, and slime is very attractive in this regard.
  4. Try to persuade your child not to throw a toy at walls covered with wallpaper if you are not going to do any repairs in the near future.
  5. If the toy has dried out, it doesn’t matter; it can be briefly revived by moistening it with water.

How to store slime?

A toy made with your own hands at home, unfortunately, is short-lived. Proper storage will extend the life of your favorite entertainment.

Store the slime in a closed container, preferably without access to air. It will be ideal if the place is also dark and cool. The best place for storage - refrigerator (but not freezer).

Conclusion

Nowadays, bright, cheap and not very, often unsafe toys overflow stores. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to make a Barbie doll or a car yourself, and not every adult can sew a teddy bear.

But it’s quite possible to create a simple but fun toy yourself from scrap materials. Therefore, the question of how to make slime yourself is quite relevant.

How to make slime from sodium tetraborate (Boron) and glue

Sodium tetraborate produces an interesting slime, which is similar in consistency to the original sold in children's goods stores.

Materials

To make this slime, prepare:

  • boron – 0.5 teaspoons;
  • transparent stationery glue – 30 g;
  • yellow and green food colors;
  • water.

Step 1. Take any two containers. The mixture for making slime will need to be prepared in two parts. Pour a cup into the first container warm water and half a teaspoon of boron. Mix this solution thoroughly until the powder is completely dissolved.

Step 2. In a second container, mix half a cup of water, glue, 5 drops of yellow and 2 drops of green dye. Mix all ingredients thoroughly until you have a uniform consistency.

Step 3. Carefully pour the boron solution into the second container. You will see how the mixture begins to turn into a viscous mass before your eyes. You can already play with it. This is slime. Make sure that your child does not put such slime in his mouth.

Be sure to store the slime in a closed container.

How to make slime from glue and starch

Materials

To make slime you will need:

  • liquid starch;
  • PVA glue;
  • small tight package;
  • food coloring.

You need to use food coloring. If he plays with slime Small child, prefer natural food dyes. If you don't have dyes, you can add gouache to the mixture.

Please also pay attention to PVA glue; in order to make a slime, you need recently made glue. The glue should be white.

Step 1. Pour 70 ml of liquid starch into the bag. It differs from food grade and is used when washing clothes. If you don’t have one, you can use regular one, but it must first be diluted with water in a ratio of 1:2.

Step 2. Add a few drops of dye to the bag. You don't need to add a lot of dye, otherwise the slime will stain your hands while playing.

Step 3. Next, pour 25 ml of PVA glue into the bag, after shaking the bottle well.

Step 4. Close the bag tightly or tie it. Mix the contents thoroughly. This must be done until the bulk turns into a clot. In addition to this, the bag will contain some liquid.

Step 5. The liquid must be drained. The clot itself is the slime. Blot it with a napkin, removing it from the surface excess moisture. Now they can play.

If your slime is sticky, rework it by adding less glue or increasing the starch content. If the slime, on the contrary, is too hard or crumbles, then you have added more starch than necessary.

Slime prepared in this way will be suitable for play within a week. It must be stored in a closed container or jar to prevent dust from falling on it.

Don’t forget to wash your child’s hands after playing and don’t let him taste the slime.

How to make slime from soda

Due to the content of dishwashing liquid, soda slime is recommended to be given to children under adult supervision. After playing with this slime, you should definitely wash your hands.

Materials

  • Dishwashing liquid;
  • soda;
  • water;
  • dyes as desired.

Step 1. Pour dishwashing liquid into a container. There is no specific dosage, gradually mixing the remaining components, you can simply pour in dish liquid or water to thin the mucus.

Step 2. Pour soda into the container and mix everything thoroughly. Your mixture should look something like the photo. For slime, this mixture is a bit thick, so dilute it a little with water and mix everything thoroughly again.

The final color of the slime will be the same as in the photo. You can change it up a little by adding a few drops of dye.

The soda slime is ready.

How to make slime from shampoo

This is a very simple way to make slime, it turns out to be the right consistency, but you need to store it in the refrigerator between games. This slime, like many others, should never be put into your mouth, and your hands should be thoroughly washed after playing with it.

Materials

  • shampoo;
  • dishwashing liquid or shower gel.

Step 1. Take a container and mix shampoo and dishwashing liquid or shower gel in equal proportions. Please note that the gel and liquid should not contain any granules, and if you want the slime to remain transparent, the components must be of the same quality.

Step 2. Mix the ingredients thoroughly and place them in containers in the refrigerator. The very next day you can use the slime for games. In the future, store it in the refrigerator in a closed container. When a lot of debris sticks to the slime, you can throw it away; it will begin to lose its properties.

The maximum shelf life of this slime is 1 month.

Washing powder slime

To make this slime you will need not ordinary dry washing powder, but its liquid analogue. You need to use the powder, since liquid soap, gel, etc., have a completely different consistency and when combined with the elements of this recipe, you won’t be able to make a slime out of them.

Materials

So, before starting work, prepare:

  • liquid washing powder;
  • PVA glue;
  • food coloring;
  • thin rubber gloves;
  • container.

Step 1. Pour a quarter cup of PVA glue into an empty container. You can take more or less, it all depends on the desired size of the slime.

Step 2. Add a few drops of food coloring to the glue and mix this solution thoroughly until the color is uniform.

Step 3. Pour 2 tablespoons of liquid powder into the solution. Mix the entire solution thoroughly. Gradually it will become sticky and the consistency will resemble putty. If your solution is too thick, add liquid powder drop by drop, diluting the solution.

Step 4. Put on gloves, remove the mixture from the container and carefully, like dough, begin to knead the workpiece. Extra drops of powder should come out of this solution; if there are any, the consistency itself will resemble a soft rubber band.

The slime must be stored in a closed container. If it starts to lose its properties, put it in the refrigerator for several hours.

How to make slime from flour

Relatively safe for children, slime is made from flour. Even small children can play like this, especially if natural colors are used instead of food coloring. With natural dyes, the color of the slime will not be as intense.

Materials

To make slime, prepare:

  • flour;
  • hot water;
  • cold water;
  • dyes;
  • apron.

Step 1. Pour two cups of flour into a container. Pass it through a sieve so that the mass is homogeneous and easier to prepare.

Step 2. Pour a quarter cup of cold water into the bowl with flour.

Step 3. Then pour in a quarter cup hot water, but not boiling water.

Step 4. Mix the entire mixture thoroughly. Be sure to ensure that the consistency is uniform and without lumps. It is very important.

Step 5. Add a few drops of food or natural coloring. If food coloring, add a couple of drops. Mix the entire mixture thoroughly again. It should be sticky.

Step 6. Place the container with the slime in the refrigerator for several hours. After the mixture has cooled, it can be used for its intended purpose.

How to make magnetic slime

An original magnetic slime that can glow in the dark can also be made at home.

Materials

  • Bora;
  • water;
  • glue;
  • iron oxide;
  • Neodymium magnets.

Step 1. In a container, mix one glass of water and half a teaspoon of boron. Mix everything thoroughly so that the boron is completely dissolved in the water. This mixture will be needed to activate the second half of the composition.

Step 2. In a second container, mix half a glass of water and 30 grams of glue. Mix them thoroughly and add paint. You can add phosphor paint here if you want the slime to glow in the dark.

Step 3. Carefully pour the boron solution into glue mixture. The solution must be added gradually, constantly stirring the glue mixture. Once the mixture begins to harden and reaches the desired consistency, stop adding the boron solution. You can throw out the rest of it.

Step 4. Take the prepared slime and level it on a flat surface. Place some iron oxide in the middle of the slime. Mix the slime thoroughly until it acquires a uniform gray color.

Magnetic slime is ready. When interacting with a magnet, the slime will be drawn to it.

If the slime doesn't work out

It often happens that the slime doesn't work out. This depends on the quality of the source material, and therefore not all proportions indicated in these recipes may be correct. In this case, you need to experiment with the consistency.

The correct slime should be taken out of the container in a single mass. In places it may be heterogeneous, but after two minutes of active kneading, it becomes viscous, moderately sticky and homogeneous.

If the slime is too sticky, it will be noticeable by the threads trailing behind the spoon. When you touch your fingers, the mixture sticks too much to your fingers and comes off easily. In this case, you need to thin the mixture a little, for example, by adding liquid starch or just water. It all depends on the recipe you choose.

If the slime stretches, but does not stick to your hands, but slides off them, then there is a lot of liquid. In this case, the excess solution of powder, starch or water needs to be drained, perhaps adding a little glue, boron solution, flour or other binding material. And mix the mixture well again.

During mass production, some chemical components are introduced into slime (or handgam), which are not always harmless to children. Caring parents can make slime without glue and without sodium tetraborate from available ingredients and delight their child with a bright, interesting toy. Making handgams takes a little time; anyone can cope with the task.

It is convenient to prepare slime in a tall bowl. This promotes uniform and quick kneading of the toy.

Child psychologists believe that slime is a good anti-stress toy. Handgam does not contain glue, helps to develop motor activity, interest in plastic forms, fine motor skills, creative imagination. To make slime at home without glue and sodium tetraborate, you can use different components. Toothpaste, potato starch, wheat flour, hair shampoo, baking soda, liquid, laundry soap, children's plasticine. Everyone has these ingredients, so you can make slime at home without sodium tetraborate, without using glue, quickly, inexpensively, and the resulting slime will not contain harmful ingredients.

Airy slime made from soap and paste

You will need one and a half tablespoons (25 g) of toothpaste: you need to visually divide the tube into required quantity parts. Take in equal quantity liquid soap, add five teaspoons of wheat flour. How to form a slime with your own hands without using glue and borax:

  1. Squeeze the required amount of paste into the bottom of a metal bowl and pour in soap.
  2. Mix the liquid base, pour flour into the resulting mixture little by little.
  3. It is convenient to first stir with a spoon, and when the mass becomes thick, use your hands.

At the end of the work, the slime is lightly moistened with water and kneaded. From simple ingredients You can make slime without PVA glue and sodium tetraborate in a couple of minutes. The resulting toy is in no way inferior to store-bought plasticine handgams.

Viscous toy made from soda and detergent

A quick, easy way to make a fun toy is to use dishwashing liquid, plain baking soda, and some food coloring to give the toy beautiful colour. Preparation of slime:

  1. Take some dishwashing liquid and pour it into a container.
  2. Add soda a pinch at a time, thick composition diluted with water.
  3. Add two to five drops of food coloring of the desired color.
  4. The mass is stirred until a homogeneous substance is added, water is added.

Depending on the ingredients included in the recipe, the slime results in a different texture and degree of transparency.

According to this recipe, there is no exact indication of how much detergent to add, since they differ in consistency, foaming, and viscosity. After several attempts, you will get a toy that retains its shape well, does not melt in your hands, does not tear into pieces and does not contain glue. If the mixture is thin, add half a teaspoon of soda, and to reduce the thickness, add dishwashing detergent.

Gelatin-plasticine slime

Every family with children has plasticine. It can be used for instant cooking slime toys. To make the slime pliable and elastic, add food gelatin. Handgam making process:

  • Take 15 grams of gelatin, pour one glass of cool water - prepare in a small metal container.
  • After the product swells, place the dishes on the stove, bring to a boil over low heat, and remove.
  • Five to six bars of plasticine (100 g) are kneaded, heating the substance, placed in a container, 3 tbsp are added. water, mix with a plastic spatula.
  • The prepared mass of plasticine and water is combined with gelatin, mixed until smooth, and cooled for half an hour in the refrigerator.

Made without sodium tetraborate and PVA glue, the toy acquires a viscous jelly-like consistency, holds its shape well, and has the required plasticity and elasticity. It is recommended to ensure that children, when playing with handgam, do not stick it to the wallpaper, so that stains do not remain on them. According to recipes, instead of detergent, you can use hair shampoo, shower gel or washing gel.

To get a real space slime, pearlescent dyes and glitter are added to the mixture.

Recipes containing sodium tetraborate and glue

The attractiveness of homemade slime preparation methods is their accessibility. component composition. The necessary ingredients are available in every home, and the missing substances can be purchased cheaply at a pharmacy, hardware store, office supply department, etc. household chemicals. Simple recipes will help you make slime from sodium tetraborate and PVA glue, stationery or universal.

Laundry soap with boric acid

  1. Cut laundry soap into thin sheets and fill with water.
  2. Add a teaspoon of boric acid solution to the mixture and mix.
  3. Add stationery glue to the composition in small portions, stirring.

Mix the finished mixture thoroughly until the glue thickens, knead it well with your hands - the slime is ready. It is recommended to use protective gloves.

Starch-adhesive composition

Methods for making slime often involve the use of glue. When interacting with other components, the substance quickly hardens, but at the same time the toy retains its ductility and plasticity. How to quickly make slime from starch, hydrogen peroxide, PVA glue:

  1. Combine water (1 cup) and 100 grams of potato starch.
  2. Knead until a jelly mass is obtained, add a glass of glue.
  3. To make the mixture bright and colorful, food coloring is added, and a little hydrogen peroxide is added to make it soft and airy.

A slime recipe made from pencil glue with borax hardener also gives good result. The glue is released from the packaging using the cores of four glue sticks, heated in a glass container to a viscous consistency (a microwave or oven is suitable), and a little dye is added. After this, a teaspoon of borax is diluted with a small amount of water and gradually introduced into the glue until the composition thickens. All that remains is to knead the mass well, you will get an interesting toy for children.

Parents can use prepared slime to develop their child’s motor skills: pour small balls into the mixture or hide small toys

Common manufacturing option

Of all the methods listed, the fastest way to make a slime is from PVA glue and tetraborate. As a coloring component you can use brilliant green, gouache, acrylic paints, food colorings. How to make a large handgam from glue:

  1. Take a container made of any material - plastic, metal, glass.
  2. Pour PVA glue into the selected container - a 100-gram package.
  3. Add green, blue, red, purple dye.
  4. Pour in a small amount of sodium tetraborate, add gradually.
  5. Stir the mixture until thickened, transfer to a plastic bag.
  6. Mash the mixture well in the bag, take out the mixture and knead thoroughly.

The consistency of the finished glue slime should be spreadable, elastic, the slime stretches easily, quickly takes its original shape, and sticks to the surface. You need to understand that the basis of the popular toy is gel, toothpaste, detergent, glue, soap, shampoo, plasticine. To harden the mass, use a recipe with the addition of borax and soda, starch and flour. The ingredient should be introduced gradually and mixed well. A mixture that is too thick will tear into pieces, while a liquid mixture will spread over the surface and stick to your hands.

According to reviews, not everyone is able to make slime from glue and borax and other components on the first try. Since the components of the popular toy are always at hand and are inexpensive, you can practice making slime at home - you will definitely succeed in handgaming. Some useful tips will help:

  1. In order for the slime to retain its properties longer, you need to store the toy in a cool place, using a bag or jar with a lid.
  2. You should play with slime on a smooth, clean surface, otherwise it will quickly become dehydrated and “collect garbage.”
  3. If the composition contains chemical components (glue, borax, chemicals), after playing, children need to wash their hands thoroughly and do not let them taste the slime.
  4. To make the slime glow unusually in the dark, add fluorescent paint, PVA glue can be replaced with silicate glue, or use polyvinyl alcohol.
  5. The toy is intended for games and children's creativity, but has practical use– perfectly collects dust between the keyboard buttons.
  6. If glue gets on your clothes during cooking, there are several simple ways to remove it.
  7. To remove bad smell glue added to slime cosmetic oil, flavoring, extract.

Slime can perform completely non-childish functions. Cleaning dust in hard to reach places- the dignity of a slime

If the glue slime sticks to your hands and does not stretch, there is not enough liquid, you need to add glycerin, water, liquid starch. When the toy stretches well, but has too elastic a consistency, the slime does not stick to the surface, add a binder.

Making slime at home is an interesting creative process that you can involve children in. Every child will love watching a fun toy appear before their eyes. But the process of preparing handgam should be supervised by adults.

Slime is a stretchy, spreading toy that can take any shape, stretch and smoothly flow from one hand to another. This kind of thing is sold in children's toy stores, but you can make it yourself. In this article we will tell you how to make slime using PVA glue in combination with other ingredients. The most popular ingredients for slime in combination with PVA glue are shampoo, soda and toothpaste. Making these fun toys at home is profitable and exciting. You can adjust the color, elasticity, transparency and make it an exclusive item.

History of the origin of lizuns

The initial interest in this toy appeared in the 1990s, when the animated series “Ghostbusters” was released on television boxes. The first hero was the green slime ghost.

In general, this toy was made back in 1976 under the leadership of Mattel. The composition included the components guar copper, minerals, borax, which make the toy slimy and stretchy. But a substitute for all these has appeared chemical elements- PVA glue. This is exactly what we will use.

How to make slime from PVA glue and shampoo

There are a lot of recipes for making this toy. Let's take the most popular one. Based on the recipe, in order to make slime with your own hands, you only need three components:

  • shampoo;
  • PVA glue;
  • food coloring or gouache;

These components need to be mixed in a ratio of 3 to 1. Three parts - glue and one part - shampoo. To make the slime made from PVA glue and shampoo rich, you can add a pinch of bright dye.

What glue should I use for slime? It is advisable to choose a transparent one, and among them Titanium is popular, since it contains all the necessary properties to impart softness and elasticity.

It is worth considering that elasticity depends on the amount of glue, that is, how more glue, the more resilient it is.

How to make slime from PVA glue and toothpaste

There is also a slime recipe made from PVA glue and toothpaste. It requires only two components:

  1. PVA glue;
  2. toothpaste.

Mix half a pack of toothpaste with one tablespoon of glue until smooth. Glue must be added if the toy has not reached the proper consistency. Place in the refrigerator for 15 minutes. The toy is ready for use.

Don't let the smell of toothpaste scare you, it will disappear soon.

The toy actually turns out to be 2 in 1, since when cold it can be used as an anti-stress toy, to lift your spirits, and when room temperature for its intended purpose, like a slime.

There is another recipe using toothpaste, but without using glue. The paste should be placed in the microwave for 2 minutes, then taken out, stirred and returned to the microwave. We repeat this procedure three times. After cooling, apply sunflower or body butter to your hands, knead the mass for 2-3 minutes and you’re done.

How to make slime from PVA glue and soda

There is a wide variety of recipes using two main components, PVA glue and soda, and we will look at the two most popular ones.

First recipe

So, in the first case, you will need:

  1. PVA glue;
  2. baking soda.

Pour the glue into the container, give it color by adding dye. Pour 30 g of soda into another container and fill it with a glass of hot water. When the water and soda have cooled, pour this solution into the glue. Then we collect it from this liquid so that it does not stick to our hands, and additionally dip it into the solution. After this, the slime made from soda and PVA glue is ready for use.

Second recipe

For the second recipe you need:

  1. “miracle clay” (with foam);
  2. PVA glue;
  3. baking soda.

Pour hot water into the “miracle clay”, mix, separate the liquid from the foam balls. After that, add glue there and mix.

The glue needs to be poured along the walls of the container so that there are no bubbles in the slime.

In the second container, combine soda with hot water, cool. Then combine the two containers and mix for about 1-2 minutes.

Divide the mixture into containers, color in different colors. Leave the containers open for 15-20 minutes and then you can enjoy the clear colored slimes.

If you are wondering how to make slime without sodium tetraborate, then this article is for you. Slime is a viscous, slippery mass that changes shape and stretches, but does not stick to your hands. What makes the toy even more popular is the fact that you can easily make it yourself. This process gives unlimited freedom for creativity. You yourself choose the color of the toy, its consistency and decide whether it should contain fillers: beads, sparkles, etc.

Below we will tell you how to make slime at home without sodium tetraborate.

Mix with baking soda

Option No. 1 (baking soda, thick glue and foam)

You will need: one container (125 ml) of PVA glue, a can of shaving foam and baking soda.

Let's start making slime with our own hands. Mix the first two ingredients. You will end up with a liquid that is similar in thickness to cake cream. If you want, you can paint it. Then add soda in small pinches, actively stirring the mixture and bringing it to the desired consistency.

Please note that the mass will not set immediately. Therefore, after adding a pinch of powder, stir for about three minutes and only then add a new portion of soda. Do not overdo it with this component, otherwise you will ruin the toy.

Option No. 2 (Soda and “Fairies”)

Here we will tell you how to make slime at home from soda, Fairy (50 ml) and dye.

This recipe is extremely simple to make. Pour half a glass of hot water and dissolve two teaspoons of soda powder in it. Let the liquid cool.

Pour Fairy into the bowl and gradually pour in the soda solution. If you overdo it with the thickener, just add a small amount of dish soap to the mixture.

Theoretically, it is permissible to use dry soda in this method. But in this case, the chewing gum for your hands will be denser and not so pleasant to the touch. “Fairy” can be replaced with any similar product.

Option number 3 (soda, glue and water)

To make this slime with your own hands, without using sodium tetraborate, you will need: a soda solution as in the previous recipe, dye and a bottle of PVA glue (can be replaced with silicate).

Pour the glue into a container, tint it (if desired) and add a soda solution (a teaspoon) to thicken the mass, stirring it constantly. Thus, achieve required density toys.

From gel for washing machines

Liquid detergents are great for thickening the mass when making slimes. Pervol and Persil are best suited. However, if you have another gel at home, try using it as a thickener. It's likely that it will work great.

To find out how to make a jelly toy with stain remover gel, read the recipe carefully.

For slime you will need: 125 ml of glue, 2 teaspoons of washing liquid (if it is in capsules, then take 2 pieces).

Pour glue into a deep bowl, add washing gel and, if desired, dye and mix thoroughly with a whisk or mixer.

When the slime becomes tight enough, start working with your hands. If you miss this moment and bring it to readiness with a whisk or mixer attachments, then it will be extremely difficult to remove it from them. Half of the toy may remain on the devices.

Life hacks for slimers

Please note that most slimes made from improvised materials without the use of sodium tetraborate have a rather short shelf life (from 3 to 7 days). But even this time is quite enough to play with the new slime.

Please also note that hand gum thickened without sodium tetraborate is less dense and rubberized, so store it in the refrigerator in a closed container.
