Popular hashtags in the musical. The most complete instructions for using hashtags on Instagram to collect followers and likes. Help find clients

When creating your next post on Instagram, you think for a minute about which hashtags are appropriate in a particular case and which are not. Sometimes, the recording remains without any marks at all. Simply because users do not see much meaning in them, and consider hashtags to be useless garbage that does not carry any benefit for promoting an account.

At the beginning of 2018, Instagram introduced hashtag subscriptions. Now everyone can subscribe to a specific hashtag and the top 9 publications on it will be shown to every subscriber.

What are “hashtags for Instagram”?

A hashtag is essentially a search query.

How to make hashtags for Instagram?

To enter hashtags under posts, use the “#” symbol. Whatever they call it: hash, sharp, sharp and even octothorp. The word that is written after the hash automatically becomes a link. It is important that there should be no spaces after the “#” symbol. When a hashtag consists of several words, they are written together or separated by other characters, for example, an underscore.

Using TOP hashtags promotes your account more effectively.
  • Put hashtags in the description of photos and videos and in the comments below. If the post is of an advertising nature, then it is best to place tags in the description.
  • In the link text, write words in Russian or English, use both upper and lower case letters, and add numbers.
  • You cannot include punctuation marks in hashtags.
  • The tag should reflect the essence of the publication. Avoid meaningless hashtags.
  • You shouldn’t overload your publication with hashtags; 3–5 thematic and related tags are enough.
  • To promote your account, before placing links, check out the TOP tags, select the appropriate ones and place them under your posts.

Ordinary users use hashtags as a kind of decoration for publications. For a commercial account, such a tool is simply not practical.

Popular hashtags for Instagram in 2020

The most popular account on Instagram is the account of the social network itself. You don’t need to be a prophet to guess that the most popular hashtags on the social network are #instagram and #instagram.

As for the rest of the tags that are popular in 2020, they are divided into two groups: hashtags in Russian and in English. The language of the link depends on the audience the publication is aimed at. If the user’s task is to attract foreign users, then the hashtag should be on English language and vice versa.

Various resources have current and popular tags, for example, https://instatag.ru.

If we consider the entire Instagram audience, the main leaders in popularity stand out:

#follow, #haire, #love, #like4like, #followme, #summer, #smile, #beautiful, #amazing, #fun, #girl, #friends.

#beautiful, #follow your wife, #boyfriend, #joy, #smile, #Moscow, #Russia, #girl, #children.

It is worth paying attention to the hashtags: #follow, #followme, #like4like, #followzamnoy. These links are created for the exchange of subscriptions. The user under whose publication this tag is located agrees to mutual subscription or like. They are useful for those who want to promote their account from scratch. By using them, your account will become popular in the shortest possible time.

Hashtags for Instagram in English

There are a number of tags that have been popular year after year. By posting one of the links, rest assured that the published entry will remain unnoticed. Most in demand among English-speaking users:

#happy, #instafood, #me, #instagood, #selfie, #cute, #fun, #friends, #bestoftheday, #follow, #followme, #style, #lol, #swag, #instalike, #l4l, #fasnion , #hot, #fitness, #pretty, #cool, #repost, #instago, #girls, #funny

Using tags will help any user reach the maximum reach of a foreign audience. And, thereby, increase the likelihood of receiving many subscriptions and likes.

Popular hashtags for Instagram in Russian

Since foreign users are the target audience of domestic accounts only in exceptional cases, pay more attention to tags in Russian. Some Russian-language popular hashtags are similar to foreign ones. For example, the tag #love is also popular with us - #love.

In terms of frequency of use, the leaders among hashtags in Russian in 2020 are:

#Moscow, #insta, #Russia, #instagramnet, #Ukraine, #instagram-Russian, #competition, #road, #me, #likes, #girls, #nature, #night, #life is beautiful, #day, #life, #smile, #me, #super, #friendship, #selfie, #my love, #friends, #children, #photo, #sky, #love, #you, #sun, #couple, #beauty, #money.

If the location does not play a particularly important role target audience, combine Russian and English tags. The main thing to remember is that Instagram allows no more than 30 hashtags under a post.

Hashtags for Instagram: food

Delicious photos of gourmet dishes are the calling card of Instagram. Probably every profile has at least one photo of food. Users take photos of food during lunch, a snack, and after serving an exotic dish. To ensure that your culinary masterpiece does not go unnoticed and becomes available to a wide audience, place the following hashtags under the post:

#food, #delicious food, #food of the gods, #dish, #this is delicious, #food, #dish of the day, #food should be delicious, #instafood, #delicious, #yummy, #delicious and healthy, #the world should know what we eat, #food is harmless.

#instafood, #yam, #foodlove, #foodisfuel, #foodlovers, #foodgram, #foodshape, #foodblogger, #foodies, #foodphotography, #foodart, #instatag, #food, #foodcoma, #instagrament, #fooddiary.

It is worth considering that they are intended for general eating. Add narrower tags like #pasta, #salad, etc. Drinks also shouldn’t be neglected; if the photo shows a glass of wine, the hashtags #wine or #vine will be in in this case appropriate.

Cool hashtags for Instagram

Some users use their imagination when writing hashtags; among the standard and hackneyed links, there are also very original ones. Here are the most popular cool hashtags found on Instagram:

#chokupilla, #like a non-native, #native swamp, #won’t stick together, #cloudy mind, #brains to get, #in a coat and slippers, #bow tie, #girls like girls, #give three, #toad strangles, I can’t, #paint my nails with my hands, #I didn’t think of the angle, #sandal bow, #I wanted to take a photo , #it's not what you thought .

Such tags are rather the exception to the rule. It is these links that are attached to posts for the sake of appearance, and they really do not provide much benefit. Some users manage to fit entire sentences into one hashtag. This is a classic example of what not to do.

Hashtags for a photographer’s Instagram

Make your tags more specific – clients will find you faster.

#instaphoto, #photo zone, #photo shoot, #photo archive, #color, #photography, #photo without filter, #art, #photofan, #photos, #photo studio, #photo for Russia, #photo day, #photo report, #photo model, #photography, #photographers , #photoproject.

#photo, #instaphoto, #pic, #picofday, #picoftheday, #photograph, #instapic, #picture, #photos, #photogram, #picsticth, #photoofday, #photoaday, #photooftheday, #photogrid.

And again, do not overload the photo with hashtags related to the main topic of the post. Add more specifics, for example, #model, #children, #wedding, etc. Tags on related topics should also be chosen based on their relevance.

Hashtags for Instagram: sports

The concept of “sport” includes fitness, aerobics, and bodybuilding. However, by identifying a post with a general hashtag, the likelihood that the desired user will stumble upon it is much higher than without one. To designate photos from the “sports” category:

#sport, #sportssportsport, #strength, #gym, #health, #instasport, #sportisstrength, #sportsforall, #sports, #health, #sportishealth, #sportsfamily, #strength, #healthylifestyle.

#sport, #instasports, #win, #sports, #play, #sportsday, #score, #sporty, #game, #health, #healthylifestyle, #gametime, #gym, #gymtime, #run, #strong, #power , #gymmotivation, #heavy, #gymlife.

Russian and English tags intersect again. Regardless spoken language The way of thinking of people of any country and continent is essentially similar to each other. If you need to dilute several Russian hashtags with English ones, do not look online for the TOP 10 popular foreign tags, but simply translate those already written into a foreign language.

Hashtags for Instagram: work

Work takes up most of the free time of any modern person. Posts from the workplace flash as often as pictures with food. So that an interesting profession does not go unnoticed:

#work, #at work, #work is work, #work, #to work as a holiday, #colleagues, #boss, #boss, #office, #work is in full swing, #work wolf, #break, #rest, #corporate party, #office plankton, #dream job, #work work .

#work, #business, #workinprogress, #workshop, #atwork, #workhard, #office, #dayjob, #biz, #instajob, #jobb, #workingout, #workflow, #lovemyjob, #workhardplayhard, #working, #instawork .

Just like workdays, hashtags about work are quite monotonous. Posts from the workplace come to the feed in such large quantities that even a post tagged with a hashtag very soon ends up in the last lines of the thematic group.

Hashtags for Instagram: flowers

Flowers are one of the most beautiful creations that nature can give. They are able to fascinate with their beauty, elegance and tenderness not only a child, but also an adult. What role do hashtags play in promoting an account?

Obviously, just putting a hash mark and a certain word is not all you need to know about them. There are different mechanisms in which they perform useful tasks. We will look at them in this section.

Basic rules for using hashtags

Now that you know how you can use tags to your advantage to promote your profile, we will explain their spelling rules.

  • The font can be used in any language.
  • You can use numbers, underscores, and emotions.
  • Signs that cannot be used are &, -, *, %, +, -, !, $, ^ and others.
  • If you write several words, remove the space, otherwise everything after the space will not be included in the tag name.
  • If there are several words, they can be written together without a space or separated by an underscore (_).
  • Use up to 30 hashtags at once. The optimal figure is 5-10 pieces. It is recommended to indicate them in the comments.
They can only be added to your posts and stories. This does not work with other people's publications.
  • It is not recommended to write them in the middle of the text, it does not look nice. Although this is a matter of taste and marketing objective.
  • Choose tags that are relevant to the content of your content.
  • Don't use other people's unique hashtags. Create your own. You can check this in the search bar.

How to find the necessary and correct hashtags on Instagram

Yes, not in all cases you need to use only popular tags. For proper promotion, it is important to use those words with hashmarks that are guaranteed to bring new interested visitors to us. And to do this, you need to know how they differ in the number of published posts. And they are divided into three types:

  • more than 100,000 publications – high-frequency;
  • from 50,000 to 100,000 – mid-frequency;
  • up to 50,000 – low-frequency.

High-frequency tags receive good coverage, likes, comments and subscribers within the first minutes. But, publications with them very quickly fall down the Instagram feed and after a while become invisible. But the smaller the number of posts, the lower the engagement, but the likelihood of staying in the first positions is higher. To find your optimal set of tags, you need to select them and test them one by one.

And for this you need to know where to look for the information you need:

  • in the Instagram search bar – enter the tag we are interested in and look at the number of its publications;

  • on Instagram, in TOP publications or among your competitors - go to the hashtag in the post, and see its quantity in a separate feed at the top;

  • on the Webstagram website - when you enter the requested tag, for more choice, along with the requested one, a number of alternatives are offered to you;

How to get to the TOP using hashtags and 3 simple methods

It is definitely impossible to say for sure by what algorithm publications fall into the top nine. This information is confidential. However, being at the top of the list of recommendations, each post attracts likes and new subscribers. Therefore, we suggest using three methods that, in our opinion, are successful in increasing the reach of your Instagram page. Test them and choose at your discretion which one will attract more new visitors.

First method

  1. Collect 70 suitable hashtags in your opinion. If you are not sure and don’t know where to start, look at your competitors.
  2. Divide them into 3 groups: high-frequency – 30, mid-frequency – 20 and low-frequency – 10.
  3. Make a photo and text that goes with it much better than your competitors.
  4. When publishing your post, immediately tag the first group of tags.
  5. After 5-10 minutes, remove them and install a mid-frequency group.
  6. After another 10 minutes, you also replace them with low-frequency ones and leave them forever.

The point is that high-frequency and mid-frequency hashtags should collect as many likes as possible in the first minutes of publication and bring your post to the TOP. And after that, at low frequencies for a long time interested visitors could come.

Second method

  1. Here we will need 90 hashtags, equal parts popular, thematic and unique.
  2. Divide them into three equal groups.
  3. Prepare three posts with high-quality photos and engaging content. All of them must be better than the competition.
  4. Publish all three posts, with a time interval of 10-15 minutes, tagging each with its own group of words.

In this case, the reach will be affected by 90 tags published at the same time, instead of the allowed 30 per post.

Third method

  1. Collect 210 relevant hashtags in equal proportions - high frequency, mid frequency and low frequency.
  2. Break them down into equal parts into 7 days a week and another 3 posts a day.
  3. We prepare high-quality content for the week, 3 posts a day.
  4. We publish 3 posts every day with 10 tags in each.

As a result, in a week you cover all 210 hashtags and get more engagement from visitors to your account.

What you need to know about hashtags to avoid getting shadowbanned

A shadow ban is a temporary blocking of Instagram, in which impressions of posts based on tags are not displayed for users who are not subscribed to this account. Representatives of the service claim that they do not ban anyone. Practice suggests that “something” does happen and publications receive much less coverage.

This means that the page does not stop working, but when a post is published, only subscribers see it. Other users cannot find this post by tag. Accordingly, its reach is falling and this can be immediately seen by the number of “likes”. As a rule, their figure is reduced to three times.

How to check if an account is shadowbanned or not

Post one photo with one hashtag. And immediately look from the page of someone else’s user who is not following you (this is important!!!) to see if your post is displayed on him. If it is displayed, then everything is in order.

How to avoid this unpleasant situation

Instagram does not give clear instructions, however, based on statistics from similar situations that have occurred previously, we have compiled a list of actions that are not recommended.

  • Origin of the account – purchased pages with a negative reputation in the past may be shadowbanned.
  • Mass liking and mass following are a sharp increase in the popularity of profile publications and subscriptions. For example, posts received up to 20 likes and suddenly began to gain 100 or more. Or the number of subscribers was up to 10 per day and suddenly more than 100 subscribers were added in one day.
  • IP change – when one account is logged in from different servers at the same time. Also make sure that no more than 5 profiles are registered from one address. And even with this number, be careful. In these cases, it is better to use a proxy server to protect yourself from shadowbans.
  • Frequent use of hashtags with posts over one million, especially if your page is still young.
  • Several posts in a row with the same list of tags.
  • Their use instead of text. It’s safer to post them in the comments.
  • Hashtags with profanity, insults, violence and other unethical expressions.
  • Using other people's photos and content without permission.
  • Photos of various documents displaying confidential information.
  • Complaints from other Instagram users.
  • Simultaneous publication of the same content in different accounts.
  • Create multiple posts in one minute. It is recommended to create no more than 10 photos per hour.
  • Using automatic promotion services.
  • Sending the same message in direct messages is perceived as spam.

How to get out of a shadow ban and restore full functionality of your account

  • The first thing you need to do is review all the content and remove those hashtags that caused your profile to be shadowbanned. If this information is not available, everything needs to be deleted.
  • Send an email to technical support.
  • Log out of your page and do not enter there for 3 to 6 days. Since it is not known how soon this situation will be corrected, it is better to wait a maximum of 6 days.
  • When you return, make one post with the same hashtag that was used to receive the ban. And check the visibility on it from someone else’s profile.

As a result of these simple actions, all working capabilities will be restored and you will be able to continue developing your area.

So, if we briefly summarize the essence of all of the above, now you know exactly which hashtags give a lot of likes on Instagram, how to use them wisely, how to get to the TOP and how not to get shadowbanned. Apply this information and let the number of followers on your accounts constantly grow.

Popular hashtags on Instagram are a great way to make your account one of the most popular and viewed. Hashtags can be used by any Instagram user. That is why there are so many of them.

Popular Instagram hashtags 2017

There are a lot of popular hashtags on Instagram. They can be divided into high-frequency from 90,000 queries, medium-frequency from 40,000 queries and low-frequency up to 40,000. How to search for the most popular tags? Searching Instagram for your topic. Enter the query that interests you and look at the description of the hashtags of the first 5-10 photos of competitors. We do not recommend blindly copying all the tags and rushing to paste them under each photo. Firstly, you will not see engagement: in most cases, users will simply pass by.

Secondly, your photo will literally go down to the bottom of the search in 5 minutes. Such posts do not stay in first place for long due to too aggressive competition. Set tags depending on your niche. Note that you don’t need to get too carried away and write 10-15 hashtags in the description. 5-6 is quite enough.

If you already have a popular brand, be sure to come up with your own unique tag and invite your subscribers to put it in the description of their photos for a small discount on products or another bonus.
