Listen and evaluate the answers of your classmates.

4. As instructed by the textbook (p. 193), observe the spring work in the field, in the garden, in the garden. Do it yourself necessary work. Write a short report about what you saw and did. You can draw or paste a photo.

This spring, I helped my grandmother plant onions in her garden. It was very interesting.

First we took a shovel and dug up the ground under the bed. Then we leveled the ground with a rake and formed a rectangular bed.

Then the grandmother took a stick and drew straight longitudinal grooves on the bed. It was in these grooves that we began to plant small bulbs, which my grandmother called “onion sets”.

Grandmother said that all the bulbs should be at an equal distance from each other. We deepened them a little into the ground and made sure that the root was always at the bottom, and the tail with a green seedling at the top.

Then we sprinkled the planted bulbs with earth and watered them well from a watering can. I hope our bulbs will germinate quickly and we will use them for cooking all winter.

During the classes

l . Organizing time, the lesson topic message.

Teacher (U):

Spring has come. The hot time has come, the time of great worries.

How do you understand the saying: "Spring feeds the year"? slide number 1

Children(D):

- What do you think, what will be discussed in today's lesson, what is the topic of the lesson?

D :

About spring work.

ll . Learning new material.

Please open the textbook on p. 72, look at the illustrations. Try to tell me what kind of work will be discussed in the lesson?

(Remember that when working in a group, you must work together)

D: children's stories

People understand that spring feeds the year. They try not to miss more than one day: they germinate the seeds, prepare the soil for sowing, sow the seeds in the ground. In the fields, where rye and wheat have been sown since autumn, winter crops rise and turn green, like green velvet. . slide number 2

Why do you think they are called winter crops?

- Winter plants are sown in the fall, they germinate before the onset of winter, and continue their growth in the spring. life cycle and ripen a little earlier than chemyarovye - annual crops sown in spring.

Tractor drivers leave the field and plow the land, what do you think for what? slide number 3

So that the soil is soft, loose for better seed germination.

W: But after the field has been plowed, it needs to be made even softer, for this it is harrowed slide number 4

Guys, how do you think, how is the sowing of rye or wheat seeds?

Since the fields are very large, a person cannot cope without the help of a seeder machine, it goes into the fields and scatters grains. slide number 5

After conducting the experiment, we can say what is needed for the seeds to germinate?

Light, air and water

There is always light and air, but what if it rains infrequently and the plants lack moisture?

Watering

People come to the aid of plants. They install watering machines on the fields, irrigate the land. slide number 6

Irrigate means water, let's repeat this word to remember IRRIGATE.

With proper care from small seeds in the fall, people get a rich harvest.

Guys, what do you think, in addition to fields and gardens, what other spring work is there?

Remove last year's foliage, whiten trees slide number 7

And who knows why people whitewash tree trunks?

Rid them of pests, for beauty.

Well done, guys, today we will also do spring work, who guessed what?

lll . Practical work.

Group work.

For practical work, a box, soil and seeds have been prepared for each group.

Tractors and machines will work in the fields all spring. But not only in the fields, work is in full swing. All rural residents are waiting for work in the gardens. IN warm earth ask for vegetable seeds: carrots, beets, cucumbers, radishes, peas, beans. It is very important to properly prepare the seeds for sowing.

While the seed is at rest, the processes of vital activity proceed in it sluggishly and it is very difficult to notice them, but it is worth the seed to get into favorable conditions how they are activated and the seed germinates and gives life to a new plant.

Let's think about how we will act, what to do.

What needs to be done first?

1. Pour earth into the box;

2. Align it;

3. Water;

4. Make a groove;

5. We put the seeds at a distance of 3 cm from each other;

6. We cover the seeds with a layer of earth.

There are signs on the table, what do you think they are for?

On the plates we will write down the name of the plant, the date of sowing, as well as on reverse side we will write down the names of the members of the group.

And why do you need to write down the names of children?

To know who should take care of the plants.

That's right, guys, as soon as the plants gain strength and it gets warmer outside, we will transfer our seedlings to the club, something will remain on the windowsills.

lV Summary of the lesson.

What kind of work do people do in the spring?

How is the soil prepared for sowing?

What conditions are necessary for seed germination?

V. Reflection.

Options are written on the board:

· fast, right

· Right but slow

· Correct, but with the help of others

· Fast but wrong

- Guys, you have flowers on the table, evaluate your work, glue the flower next to the line that says how you worked in the lesson.

In agriculture, crop care is an almost continuous process.

Winter crops require special care:

cleaning is carried out from the fields of stones that are squeezed out by frost to the surface;

loosening of a strong crust on the surface of the earth. This will provide the necessary air exchange for the seeds;

draining stagnant water from fields. Excess moisture is detrimental to many crops, it leads to decay of the root system and can significantly reduce crop yields;

cleaning of free land areas from moss, shrubs, alluvial sand.

winter crop vegetation begins in the first decade of April, top dressing should be carried out in the second decade, ensuring sufficient nitrogen supply. It is necessary for correct formation spikelets (this process happens very quickly). If there is a lack of nitrogen in the soil, then the ear will remain an underdeveloped tubercle and die. The second feeding is carried out two to three weeks after the first, in small doses. It is at this time that an active set of vegetative mass occurs and again there is a threat to the correct formation of the ear.

In order to ensure decent harvest spring, it is necessary to begin preparatory work:

  • first of all, replenishment of mineral and organic substances in the soil, soil fertilization with manure (mandrel of previously imported and delivery of new);
  • carrying out measures aimed at preparing the fields for sowing;
  • cleaning, sorting seeds for sowing;
  • soil sowing;
  • fallow fields are being lifted (they were not sown last season);
  • plowing the brought manure;
  • comprehensive measures aimed at the extermination of pests: slugs, beet bugs and others.

Simultaneously with these works, others are carried out, familiar to every gardener and gardener:

  • fertile soils are developed with subsequent fertilizer;
  • in greenhouses, greenhouses, open beds sow seedlings;
  • seed plants, tubers are planted;
  • hunting heaps are arranged (for the larvae of the cockchafer).

Before the start of the sowing campaign, it is necessary to repair agricultural machinery and conduct a technical inspection. This concerns, first of all, soil-cultivating and sowing equipment. The speed and productivity of the planned work depends on how ready the fleet of vehicles is.

Along with winter and spring crops, other agricultural crops are sown: various varieties cabbage, beets, corn.

In the spring, fields are also sown with crops for further plowing: green manure. They are grown to further enrich the soil with minerals, organics, nitrogen. Green manure plants improve the structure of the soil, have a sanitary effect on the soil, shade it, and attract beneficial insects (pollinators). Such plants include representatives of the legume family, cruciferous, cereals, buckwheat, and Compositae.

The volume of work in the fields in the spring is very large and varied, but the success of the entire enterprise depends on how competently and timely they are carried out.

Work in the field and in the garden requires serious knowledge. The future harvest depends on the quality and timeliness of their implementation. Therefore, farmers carry out a series of actions at a certain time. It is spring that is the period of intensive preparation for the cultivation of most crops. During this period, a number of actions are planned, which are mandatory carried out by farms and agricultural enterprises.

What are spring work in the field and garden, should be considered in detail. This will allow you to perform the required manipulations on suburban area, vast agricultural areas.

Features of work in the field and garden

spring work in the field (photo below) are the most important period in the process of growing various crops. special attention farmers demand winter crops.

Works in the field and in the garden differ significantly in the scale and features of the planning of events. This is due to the methods that farmers apply to these areas. Agriculture. Work in the field never stops all year round. However, in winter, the main activity in such conditions freezes.

The garden is a place for growing various vegetables, special varieties of crops. In accordance with what will grow in these conditions, the preparation of sown areas is also carried out. This is a special process that requires the farmer to have special theoretical knowledge and practical skills.

School program

IN school curriculum attention is paid to spring work in the field. The world around (Grade 4) studies this process in an overview. Students are invited to write a story about how the soil is prepared in the spring. Schoolchildren supplement their stories with photographs and drawings on this topic.

In the essay, students can describe how the preparation of sown areas is carried out. Stones are removed from them, which are pushed out of the ground by soil under pressure during severe frosts. Next, the earth is loosened to provide the root system of plants with air flow. This is necessary for their full development.

If water has stagnated on the field, it must be diverted using drainage channels. Otherwise, the plants will rot. This will negatively affect the yield. Weeds, shrubs, moss, sand are removed from the soil surface. Fertilize the soil before sowing. Knowing in general terms how the field is prepared in the spring, students can write an interesting essay.

Essay example

Students write an essay about spring work in the field (Grade 4) with great pleasure. Many of them could watch how parents, grandparents are preparing for sowing vegetables, fruits, planting trees and flowers in the country house, in the garden or garden. They describe their experiences in writing. An example of a short essay is presented below.

“My parents and I are going to the country in the spring. I help them prepare the garden and vegetable garden for the summer. This is an interesting activity. I saw on TV how the fields are prepared in the spring. In the garden, our family does similar work. We are digging up the soil. Dad says it helps the seeds germinate. They get air.

Then we make a greenhouse, which is covered with a film. So the plants will not freeze if the temperature drops sharply at night. When the greenhouse warms up, my parents and I plant carrots, herbs, onions, zucchini, and beans. Dad digs holes and I put seeds in them. Mom digs seedlings and waters them with water. I really like to be with my parents in the country.

Why do we need knowledge about land preparation in spring?

The description of spring work in the field (grade 4) allows students to realize how much work employees of agricultural enterprises put into the process of preparing for the sowing campaign. Own experience schoolchildren in the country, in the garden or vegetable garden also has a positive effect on the formation of their understanding of the importance of such events.

Stories about the spring preparation of fields, vegetable gardens and orchards, personal experience comrades - all this arouses interest in farming, respect for nature. Students begin to appreciate the gifts of nature, understand how hard they are given to people.

Parents should pay attention to involving their children in the process of preparing a garden, vegetable garden in spring period. This will be a real adventure for students. In the process of carrying out the work, children need to explain why this or that action is being carried out.

List of field work

A story about spring work in the field will be easier to write, knowing more about this process. For each type of climate, the presented actions begin to be carried out at different times. Most often in Russia, soil preparation is carried out in the second decade of April. If the spring is warm, work is carried out earlier.

After all the stones, sand are removed, the soil is dug up, it is necessary to apply fertilizer. They must include nitrogen. Both mineral and organic compositions are important. Next, the seeds are sorted and cleaned. They sow the prepared soil.

A survey is carried out on areas that were not sown last year (they were fallow). The brought manure is plowed into the ground. After that, comprehensive measures are taken to prevent or eliminate pests. They depend on the climate zone, natural conditions on the field.

Features of field work in spring

Simultaneously with the above activities, a number of other spring field works are carried out. In the field, trapping heaps are arranged for the larvae of the May beetles. Agricultural enterprises are working on the development fertile soils. They are dug up and fertilized.

Seedlings are planted in greenhouses. In warm climates, this procedure is performed outdoors. At the same time, seeds and tubers are planted. Enterprises before starting the process of tillage and before the sowing campaign check the readiness of the equipment. Maintenance and repairs are being carried out. The speed of each subsequent operation depends on this. Equipment repair in field conditions problematic and highly undesirable.

Also in the spring, fields can be sown with special crops called green manure. They will enrich the soil with useful substances, improve its structure, and have a sanitary effect on the soil. Such plants include representatives of the legume family, cereals, cruciferous crops. The scope of work in the spring period in the fields is extensive. During this period, farmers are making a lot of efforts to ensure future high level harvest.

Spring work in the garden

Spring work in the field, garden, orchard requires a lot of time and effort from farmers, agricultural workers and ordinary summer residents. In order to use the available resources rationally, you need to understand what issues need to be addressed in the first place.

Some inexperienced summer residents spend a huge amount of time on their site to get high yields. If you understand the technology of spring work, you can significantly reduce the time and amount of effort spent in the garden or vegetable garden.

The garden needs to be explored first. Shrubs and trees should be protected from spring sun. If there is no shelter, damage to the bark may appear over time. This will negatively affect the well-being of the plant. For mature, strong trees, most often shelter is not required. It is necessary for young seedlings. Day and night temperatures are very different. Therefore, the trunks of young trees cover nonwovens. In the middle of spring they can be removed.

They argue that on the south side of the trees, a peg should be installed at the trunk. He will somewhat shade the trunk in warm period of the year. It should be noted that bleaching seedlings is highly undesirable. This reduces their rate of development. The bark may thicken. The tree will spend energy on strengthening its defenses. At the same time, growth will be slowed down. Whitewash clogs the pores of the plant.

In the garden, you will need to trim bushes, pruning fruit trees. This must be done before the sap flow period. If the buds are already starting to swell, do not cut. It is also required to hide evergreen shrubs from the sun. Their color will be richer. When the frosts end, the temperature drops will not be so strong. During this period, shelters can be removed.

Sequence of work in the garden

Spring work in the field, in the garden or garden must be carried out in the correct sequence. You need to choose the right plants and seeds for planting. They must be healthy, not damaged or defective.

Digging holes for planting. A plant is installed in them and the roots are sprinkled with earth. On adult fruit plants, excess shoots are cut off. When the flowering period has passed, dry inflorescences must be removed. To reduce the time for tillage, ground cover plants can be sown between the beds. Mulching is also carried out using special equipment. The amount of tiresome manual labor can be significantly reduced.

It is necessary to take into account the requirements for growing each type of crop. Some plants like shade, while others like light. Watering also needs to be carried out in a timely manner. Stagnation of water in the area can lead to a decrease in yield. Need to think and arrange correct system drainage if water stagnates in the soil.

Works in the garden

Spring work in the field, in the garden requires certain knowledge and skills. It will take a lot of time to bring the soil into the desired state. In the garden, you need to remove various garbage from the beds, stones. It is important to remove insects, their larvae, weeds and other pests.

Introduce into the soil organic fertilizers. For this, compost, rotted manure or peat is suitable. This will fill the soil with the substances necessary for the growth of crops. The soil should not be too dense. If necessary, it can be made easier by adding sand to the soil. If water stagnates on the site, you need to add fine gravel to the soil. If the soil, on the contrary, is too crumbly, you need to add clay to it. It will retain moisture.

The soil needs to be loosened. At the same time, you need to dig it up. It breaks the structure. Nutrients sink deeper. This negatively affects the growth of garden crops. Therefore, loosening is used for beds. The depth of processing should not exceed 10 cm.

Completion of the preparation of the garden

Spring work in the field and garden is carried out taking into account climatic conditions. If there are frosts, large temperature drops, crops need to be covered or grown in a greenhouse.

Lawns need to be raked. If there are potholes in the soil, they need to be filled with soil. The surface of the lawn is sprinkled with fine sand and leveled. In places where the grass does not grow, it is sown again.

You need to remove shelters from plants gradually. This is done at a time when the temperature at night will be quite high. First, the plants are allowed to get used to the temperature outside. Then they are opened.

Having considered the features of spring work in the field, garden and vegetable garden, you can understand the features of this process.

The garden plot needs care almost all year round: spring is the time to come out of hibernation and prepare the land and plants for the new harvest year. Summer is the time for plant care. Autumn is the time to harvest and prepare the land and garden for the harsh winter. Only in winter avid gardener gets a break, and even at this time household plot needs some looking after.

Spring is the time for the awakening of nature after the cold, preparing the land and garden for a new harvest. But in spring, the weather is so capricious and unpredictable that before starting work in the garden and on the ground, you should navigate the first spring month not by dates, but by weather conditions.

In March, snow and frost most often prevent garden work from starting. But even at this time, you can find an activity that will help improve the appearance of the site, help trees and shrubs, and prepare the land.

Garden care in March

If the first month of spring is rich in snow, you should try to save fruit plants from damage by shaking snow from the crowns. Due to the alternation of frosts and thaws, the snow becomes heavy and sticky, due to which it can break off fragile tree branches.

Spring is a difficult time for hares and small rodents, so it is advisable to check the integrity of the bark of young fruitful trees. If there is a lot of snow near the trunks, it is advisable to clear it so that the animals do not get to the branches.

Coniferous tree care

In spring the sun is quite bright and Sun rays can damage crowns coniferous trees, especially if there is snow on the ground that reflects light. If young trees are located on open areas, then it is desirable to cover their branches from the scorching ultraviolet radiation. Crowns tied with twine can be covered with burlap or old bedspreads. For small trees, you can build special shields. When the snow melts, the protection can be removed.

Fruit tree care

If whitewash is not applied to tree trunks in autumn or winter, this must be done in early spring. Alternatively, you can wrap the trunks with light paper. This will protect the bark from sunburn. Whitewashing will protect the bark of plants from pests that will definitely appear with the onset of heat.

Until the snow melts, you should start trimming the branches of fruit trees. This will help not only remove excess shoots, but also correctly form the height and shape of the crown.

Worth knowing!!! It is necessary to form a crown every few years. Annual pruning can weaken the tree and result in lower yields.

Video - How to properly trim the crowns of fruit trees

When the air temperature rises above 5-6 degrees, the branches of fruit trees should be sprayed with special insecticides against pests and diseases. It is important to do this before the first leaves appear.

If there was a lot of snow in the garden during the winter and in March it began to actively melt, water should not be allowed to stagnate on the ground. With the help of small ditches dug in the ground, the outflow of water from the site should be ensured. Otherwise, the roots of trees in a flooded area cannot “breathe”.

On sunny days, you can start to open the shoots of roses and other heat-loving flowers to prevent condensation from accumulating under the film and "harden" the plants.

Toward the end of March, bulbs of daffodils and lilies can be freed from covering materials. These flowers are not afraid of night frosts.

Liberation of land and garden from snow cover should be noted major cleaning. Remove old leaves and broken branches from the ground, sweep garden paths, clear them of moss. You can also view garden furniture, repair or paint benches.

Garden work in March is the sowing of seeds of tomatoes and peppers for seedlings. Seedlings are grown in special containers at home, on window sills.

April

This month, much attention is paid to preparing the land for planting, and it is April that is the most laborious and busy month for summer residents.

Works on the ground

April is the time of working with the earth. But before you start digging a garden, you should know agricultural tricks.

What crops are sown in April

table

NameDescription

planted in open ground, landings do not need to be insulated with a film.

Seeds are germinated at home. At the end of April, subject to warm weather seedlings are taken outside for hardening.

They are sown in open ground, but the beds should be covered with foil.

If you plan to plant potatoes, then in early April, you should sort out the tubers for planting, laying them in a well-ventilated and lit place for vernalization. Potatoes should not be exposed to direct sunlight.

If winter garlic and onions were sown for the winter, you should remove the mulch layer, loosen and feed the soil with crops.

In April, you need to prepare greenhouses for new plantings. In addition to digging and fertilizing, the soil should be disinfected. For these purposes, 3% Bordeaux liquid is used. It is also recommended to wash the glass or plastic in the greenhouse to improve the light transmission of the material.

April work in the garden

At the beginning of the month, you need to fertilize the root system of fruit trees and shrubs.

In April, after the snow melts, you need to remove all the bindings from the trees, remove the protective spruce branches and shields from the sun.

If the soil is too wet, you should not stomp near the roots of trees, this will impair their nutrition and oxygen saturation.

In the middle of the month, you can start updating the garden by planting seedlings of trees or shrubs in wells prepared and fertilized with organic matter and ash. Seedlings must be tied up.

You need to carefully look at all the trees and shrubs to make sure that pests have not appeared on the bark or branches. Also, for preventive purposes, it is necessary to treat the trunks of plants with a solution of copper sulfate.

With the onset of heat, you can do strawberries. You should remove the mulch, loosen and fertilize the earth around the shoots.

May

Works in the garden

May is a month of unstable weather: warm during the day and frost at night. It is the night frosts in May that can destroy the entire crop if no action is taken. Also in May, all plants and crops are planted on the beds and greenhouses, so the month for summer residents and gardeners is very busy.

In the last month of spring, you need to try to finally form the beds. Cabbage is planted in open ground, sorrel, onions, carrots, aromatic herbs and spices are sown.

All shoots of carrots and beets should be thinned out and fed. It is recommended to water the sprouts after 3-4 days. Weeding should be carried out carefully, as vegetable sprouts are still very weak and easily damaged.

Top dressing strawberries in spring - photo

Onion crops are thinned out, fed with a mixture of mullein, potassium salt and phosphate fertilizers. Feeding is best combined with watering. In order for the plants to receive enough oxygen, it is necessary to periodically loosen the ground near the rows with bulbs.

Don't forget the garlic. The beds with this crop need to be watered often and thoroughly, otherwise the garlic begins to shrink without water. In mid-May, you need to carefully remove the arrows, otherwise these sprouts will pull on most of the nutrients.

In mid-May, it is possible to plant seedlings of tomatoes, peppers, eggplants in a greenhouse or open ground, under a film.

Folk calendar for sowing plants in open ground

NameDescription

You can sow under the film after the flowering of mountain ash, there will be no severe frosts on the soil.

These crops can be sown after the peonies open their buds.

These crops can be planted and sown in open ground after the daffodils bloom.

These crops can be sown after the chestnut blossoms.

Can be planted after the lilac blooms

Potatoes are planted in May. Early varieties It is customary to sow at the beginning of the month, late - in the middle or at the end of May.

It's important to know!!! Fragile and tender sprouts of garden crops need enhanced feeding and watering. Especially do not forget about those plants that are planted in greenhouses. You should also spray the seedlings with pesticides in a timely manner.

May work in the garden

If a lawn is planted on the site, then in May you should start cutting the grass. While the ground is wet, do not trample on the lawn a lot, otherwise “bald spots” will appear on it. In the process of cutting, it is important to remove the broken weeds.

During the flowering period of fruit trees, gardeners should be wary of night frosts, because frost-damaged flowers do not produce ovaries. To preserve the crop, you can try to protect the trees from the effects of cold. For these purposes, smoke bombs or small portable barbecue stoves are used, in which the fire should be maintained all night.

After the appearance of the kidneys on fruit trees, care must be taken to ensure that pests do not destroy the future crop. For the prevention and destruction of apple flower beetles, ticks, moths, aphids, apple suckers, you need to prepare the following mixture: 60 grams of karbofos, 80 grams of copper oxychloride and 40 grams of chlorophos are diluted per 20 liters of water. These substances can be purchased in specialized stores. The resulting mixture is sprayed on the crowns and branches of all existing trees and shrubs in the garden. If the primary treatment did not help, you can repeat the procedure before the flowering of fruitful trees and shrubs begins.

With the appearance of the first leaves on the trees, you can see which branches were damaged by winter frosts. Dead branches need to be cut off, it is recommended to cover the cut points with ordinary oil paint.

In early May, you need to work with garden raspberries. Shoots that were bent to the ground for the winter should be straightened and tied to a trellis or fence. Damaged branches are recommended to be cut at the root, the remaining shoots should be cut along the first formed bud. Raspberries need to be fed; organic fertilizers are suitable for these purposes. Top dressing can be combined with watering.

It is important to inspect all gooseberry and blackcurrant bushes available on the site. These cultures during flowering and the formation of ovaries are a real delicacy for ants. To preserve the crop, a piece of cloth should be moistened in kerosene and placed at the roots of shrubs. Do not pour kerosene into the ground, this can adversely affect the plants.

It's important to know!!! If signs of doubleness appear on the blackcurrant during the flowering period, the bush should be uprooted immediately, otherwise there is a risk of infecting all the plants in the garden. Terryness caused by aphids and kidney mite, is not curable.

In order for the garden and the garden to please with a rich harvest, you need to pay attention to the planted plants daily throughout the entire garden period.
