The reason that the handle stops turning when the window is closed or that a certain force has to be applied to perform this action is the displacement of the turning “tongue” located at the end of the sash relative to its “response” (on the window sash post). If the handle does not turn when the sash is open, then you just need to press the “tongue” with your finger, pressing it into a vertical position.

To adjust the closing of the sash, turn the protruding part of the trunnion inward of the window. Thus, the work of the clamping mechanism is weakened. Doing the opposite will result in an increase in this effect.

The method for setting the eccentric may differ depending on the hardware manufacturer:

There is a slot on the trunnion that can be turned using a flathead screwdriver.
The eccentric is turned with pliers from the end surface. If you have enough strength, you can do this with your hands.

The adjustment must be carried out carefully so as not to damage the trunnion mounting mechanism.

If the cylinders at the end cannot be adjusted, then change the position of the mate/hook. It is installed on two bolts with hex key heads. If you loosen the bolts, you can move the hook slightly towards the room, which will reduce the pressure, or towards the street, which will increase it.

After loosening/strengthening the clamping device, you can move on to the awnings. Let's consider windows with a transom system that allows you to open the window in ventilation mode. To adjust the frame clamp, you will need to adjust the bolt extending perpendicular to the plane of the window. It is better to configure it with the window closed. To strengthen the clamping mechanism, turn it clockwise and vice versa.

If the upper part is not attached to the canopy, but to a structure - scissors, then to access the adjusting bolts you need to open it.

There is a locking lever/clip on the side end on the handle side. Press it and turn the knob in parallel, setting it to ventilation mode. The sash will be held on the lower canopy and the scissor mechanism, because it will come out of the groove at the upper corner. This will allow you to reach the head so you can adjust the clamping force of the top. In the normal position, the mechanism goes to the end. To adjust, you will need a screwdriver with interchangeable bits - “flat-cross” and a set of hex L-shaped keys.

The adjustment units are located in the lower and upper hinges. To open them, you need to remove the decorative plastic caps by pulling up or down along the hinge. In addition, if there is a transom mechanism for opening the sash for ventilation, there is an adjusting bolt on the “scissors” located on top, with the help of which the tilt of the sash is additionally adjusted.

Adjusting the loop is easy. Design of all adjustable hinges provides for the possibility of their slight displacement (a few millimeters) in three directions: vertical, horizontal and frontal.

If we are talking about window skew, then it is necessary to adjust the horizontal displacement (the adjusting bolt is located on the hinge on the side).

If the window begins to close poorly and the bottom edge clings to the window sill, then you should adjust it in the vertical direction - raise it (the adjusting bolts are on top).

Adjustment of the pressing force of PVC windows is carried out in two modes: “winter-summer”. Depending on the design of the locking mechanism, the regulating element may be oval eccentrics, displaced in the vertical direction:

Some designs use a rotating bolt with an arrow pointing to the corresponding symbols (+/-) instead of an eccentric.
